**Job Title:** Mechatronics Engineer - Consumer Robotics
**Location:** Company Location in North Vancouver, BC.

**Position Overview:**
We are looking for a passionate Mechatronics Engineer to join our innovative team, where you will play a pivotal role in developing our next-generation consumer robotics product, iRobud. This role requires a combination of mechanical, electronic, computer, and control engineering skills.
**Key Responsibilities:**
1. Design, test, and implement mechatronic systems for our consumer robotics products.
2. Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including software, electronics, and mechanical engineers, to ensure product integration.
3. Analyze and improve the performance, reliability, and efficiency of robotic systems.
4. Prototype new mechanisms, sensors, and actuators to enhance robot functionality.
5. Develop and test control algorithms to drive robot movements and behaviors.
6. Conduct research on emerging technologies to remain updated and apply them where relevant.
7. Document design processes, specifications, and troubleshooting guides.
8. Provide technical support and troubleshooting for robotic systems during production and post-launch.
9. Ensure all designs and developments meet safety, regulatory, and company standards.
**Required Qualifications:**
1. Bachelor’s or Master's degree in Mechatronics, Robotics, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
2. Hands-on experience in the design and development of mechatronic systems, preferably in the consumer electronics or robotics industry.
3. Strong proficiency in [specific software/tools, e.g., CAD tools, MATLAB, Simulink, etc.]
4. Demonstrated knowledge of sensors, actuators, and embedded systems.
5. Understanding of control system theory and design.
6. Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
**Preferred Qualifications:**
1. Experience with paper handling systems.
2. Familiarity with manufacturing processes and design for manufacturing.
