About This Opportunity
This is a position on our software architecture team. Architects are expected to have detailed technical knowledge about the software, tools, and techniques used to build our product as well as becoming experts in the problem domain of cloud native 5G Slicing Service Assurance. Architects work with other architecture teams within Ericsson as well as working with the microservice implementation teams to ensure software meets the requirements.
The successful candidate will have the opportunity to apply/learn new skills in exciting technologies related to network service assurance and cloud native applications. Architects create and enhance requirements, write design documents, and work through the software development process to build high quality solutions. They must be able to convey their thoughts effectively during meetings and create presentations to demonstrate designs to both management
What You Will Do

• Keep abreast of key technology around 5G Service Assurance and cloud native software development
• Ensure that correct technologies are used to solve problems and that software seamlessly integrates with other development groups
• Work with the organization to ensure that our software fulfills the requirements and integrates with other solutions within Ericsson
• Learn and grow in an innovative software development culture!

You will bring

• More than 10 years of experience in related technical area.
• Demonstrated experience with Unix/Linux Operating Systems
• Good understanding of microservices architecture in Cloud Native deployment.
• Experience in Java, C/C++, Python, or other high level programming languages is required
• Experience with Springboot, Kubernetes, Helm, Docker, and other cloud native technologies
• Excellent work ethic and a great teammate
• Good knowledge of messaging patterns/design aspects using REST, Kafka.
• Experience with 5G networks, especially slicing, would be an asset
• Experience working with SQL/NoSQL persistence databases and index search technologies like Elasticsearch.
• Passionate about learning new technologies
• Effective written and verbal communication skills
• Must have an undergraduate or a graduate university program, majoring in computer science or related major or equivalent
