One of our clients operating a leading non-retail pharmacy in North York is looking for Data Entry Associates to join their team supporting specialized delivery of pharmacy services. This employee will join their established data entry team and perform entry and verification of prescriptions in an office setting, ensuring that all information is input efficiently and accurately and can thus be actioned by the production team. The client is seeking candidates with a background working in a pharmacy setting with experience in prescription entry, but will consider those with experience in use of a medical recordkeeping system in any setting. This is a role with excellent growth potential as the client has a history of internal promotion and there are leadership positions available within the department as well as throughout their organization. Advantages
This permanent career opportunity is full time (40 hour schedule + potential for overtime paid in accordance with Employment Standards Act). The pharmacy is open from approximately 7:00 AM - 7:00 PM each day and an RPhT would be expected to work eight-hour shifts each day during that timeframe; schedule preferences can be discussed with the hiring manager if there are concerns about availability.

This is a direct-hire position, meaning that a successful will be on the client's payroll from day one.

Responsibilities
  • Updating and maintaining database of patient information
  • Entering a high volume of patient profiles, medication histories and other relevant information, ensuring timeliness and accuracy
  • Monitoring individual and shared email inboxes for incoming prescriptions
  • Liaising with internal and external contacts regarding patient information, medical data, and urgent patient care issues
  • Other administrative duties as required
  • Critical analysis of available information and problem solving to ensure that all necessary data can be identified and entered into the system
Qualifications
  • Critical thinking and problem solving skills a must
  • Deadline-oriented and strong prioritization skills a must
  • Able to work 8-hour day shifts in an office setting
  • Strong written verbal and computer skills are required
  • The ideal candidate has a minimum of 1 year's experience working in a non-retail setting in a role in a data entry-focused role; at minimum, candidates must have some experience in entry of patient information in a pharmacy or healthcare setting to be considered
  • Positive outlook with a strong work ethic required
