Patient Service Partner - Resource Team - Temporary Full-Time (2023-231888)

We currently have a Temporary Full-Time (until approx. Dec 2023) opportunity for a Patient Service Partner ont the Resource Team located at our Bayview Campus.

Weekdays & Alternating Weekends: Days, Nights, 12 hrs; As per schedule

Summary of Duties

Working in collaboration with the interprofessional team, the Patient Services Partner (PSP) participates in the caring of patients by providing a variety of support services to patients and the team. The PSP participates as a member of the team in a manner that reflects the Hospital philosophy and mission of service, and promotes and maintains good public relations with patients, visitors and Hospital staff. The PSP will be part of a resource pool working primarily in acute care. The PSP will be required to assist with direct and indirect patient care, including activities of daily living, as well as decontamination of patient care areas and equipment.

Qualifications/Skills

• Recent experience as a PSP required
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Must maintain an active Sunnybrook email account and have knowledge/use of R-ESP
• Ability to read and write English
• Current Crisis Prevention Intervention (CPI) training preferred
• Minimum 2 years of related health care experience
• Must be prepared and able to use all personal protective equipment
• Minimum Grade 11 or equivalent as recognized by the Province of Ontario Ministry of Education
• Personal Support Worker (PSW) certificate is required
• Flexibility and willingness to take direction
• Infection Prevention and Control Certificate required
• Ability to work well as part of a multidisciplinary team
• Liaises with patients and visitors on a regular basis demonstrating excellent customer service
• Proven ability to work under pressure and to handle various tasks within a limited time frame
• Adaptable to constantly changing environment
• Experience in acute care setting preferred
