We’re looking for an Offshore Project Manager, for our client, Dynamic Installations (https://www.dynamic.global/). Dynamic was founded in 2007, however combined years of previous experience and individual backgrounds reach beyond that. As Dynamic is going through a growth phase, we’re looking for an Offshore Project Manager with a passion for construction in the marine environment leveraging related experience, engineering knowledge and critical thinking, to generate reliable effective solutions to suit variable project needs.
Offshore Project Manager Responsibilities:
The Offshore Project Manager will be responsible for developing and managing various projects both in size and complexity, leading field resources and building relationships with both customers and project stakeholders. The projects include, but are not limited to: Heavy Lift, Roll on Roll off, Demolition & Salvage, and various Multi-Disciplined Bulk Material Handling and Pile Driving projects.
- Provide custom engineered solutions to clients through creative design maximizing operational potential of specialized equipment and The Dynamic Beast.
- Develop strong client relations with global corporations
- Execution management, including detailed design and Engineering, planning, logistics and execution of aggressively scheduled projects
- Overall responsibility for commercial, contractual, risk and project controls management
- Direct multi-disciplinary teams throughout the project life cycle starting from business development, strategy development, commercial bidding, contract negotiation.
- Fundamentally contribute to the financial success of Dynamic utilizing their unique asset, The Dynamic Beast, sustaining a multi-year pipeline of projects.
The Successful Candidate has:
- Demonstrates deliberate growth as a leader
- Exceptional relationship, communication, facilitation, negotiation, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
- Education - Structural Engineering or Navel Architecture (PEng an asset)
- Strong Cad skills and Computer Skills
- Experience with Piledriving, Structural Transport and Engineering, Heavy Lift and RORO, and/or Salvage and Demolition
- 10+ years of experience in a wide spectrum of marine and engineering disciplines with particular focus on structural engineering
- Strong awareness of nautical environment (weather, ships/boats, tides, etc)
- Proactively identifies risks and mitigates issues to avoid claims and optimize project execution
- Estimating experience, in particular man hour and project planning/ scope of work development
- Strong interpersonal skills with exceptional ability to listen, communicate (written & oral) and collaborate
- Knowledge of construction and procurement laws/regulations
- Proven track record in dealing with complex negotiations
