Have you worked for a liquid transportation or bulk dry goods transport company and/or have experience with coordination, planning and communicating directly with drivers?

We are recruiting for a Dispatcher for our clients in the Kitchener Area. The ideal candidate will have experience in effectively working in a fast-paced environment, tech savvy with strong MS Office skills, especially MS Excel and Word skills and the ability to juggle multiple tasks and deadlines simultaneously.

• Please note the location is not transit accessible and candidates would need their own vehicle to reach the site daily.

Responsibilities
As the Dispatcher, you will be overseeing territories which include Ontario, Quebec and the U.S. with the following responsibilities:

• Effectively communicate specific requirements and procedures to drivers
• Coordinate and plan with dispatch team & management to effectively and efficiently utilize the company’s resources
• Manage the utilization of fleet and monitor drivers hours of service
• Recognize and address potential scheduling challenges
• Generate operational reports as required
• Handle customer inquiries in a timely and professional manner

Qualifications

• Knowledge of transportation of dangerous goods requirements is an asset
• Demonstrated ability to actively manage multiple, concurrent projects
• 3 years dispatch experience, preferably specializing in transportation of liquids or bulk dry goods is an asset
• Good command of MS Office (Excel and Word) with an ability to quickly learn new software
• Demonstrated ability to manage high-stress situations calmly and effectively
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Positive attitude with excellent customer service skills
• Own transportation is a must
