Position Overview


We are seeking an engaged and motivated Office Administrative Assistant. The ideal candidate is an extraordinary multi-tasker who will provide administrative support to various departments at Ampco. They will handle the flow of people through the business and ensure that all Office Administrative Assistant duties and responsibilities are completed accurately and delivered with high quality, in a timely and professional manner.


Key Responsibilities


  • Review, evaluate and implement new administrative procedures.
  • Maintain office and lunchroom supply inventory.
  • Greet and welcome visitors and clients.
  • Organize travel by booking accommodation and reservation needs as required.
  • Support all staff with administrative tasks and projects as assigned.
  • Manage and maintain a presentable reception area.
  • Help to organize and maintain office common areas.
  • Handle incoming calls, inquiries, and emails, redirecting them as appropriate.
  • Other duties as assigned.
  • Provide efficient and timely administrative support to the company.
  • Perform general administrative support tasks, including filing, data entry, and maintaining records and calendars.
  • Coordinate the maintenance of office equipment as needed.
  • Run various off-site office errands.
  • Attend and take notes at confidential meetings as needed.
  • Participate as a key member of the company’s social committee.


What You Bring To Ampco


  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • 1-2 years general office experience, including reception.
  • Must be well organized, able to prioritize workload and have a solution focus.
  • Access to a vehicle and valid driver’s license.
  • Excellent customer service/interpersonal skills.
  • Proficient with MS Office (including Word, Excel, Power Point and Outlook).
  • Comfortable handling confidential information.
