Nurse Clinician – Educator Jobs

This Nurse Clinician position will have primary responsibility within McMaster Children’s Hospital in the pediatric surgery units such as Pediatric Surgery and GI inpatient unit, Pediatric Eating Disorders Inpatient, Outpatient and Day Treatment Program, Adolescent Medicine, Child Advocacy and Assessment Program , Pediatric Chronic Pain, MCH Gender Diversity Program with cross coverage in ambulatory program, as needed. The Nurse Clinician will work as part of an education resource team also supporting central education programs.

• Minimum 3 years recent experience (in the last 3 years) in acute pediatric nursing in a tertiary care facility
• Demonstrated experience as a preceptor of staff and/or students
• Current BCLS certification preferred.
• Baccalaureate degree in Nursing, Master’s degree preferred.
• Evidence of ability to develop, conduct and evaluate educational programs to learners from a variety of health care disciplines
• Experience in evaluation of learning activities specific to individual and organizational performance.
• Current PALS certification preferred.
• Current certificate of registration with the College of Nurses of Ontario as a Registered Nurse.
• Demonstrated proficiency in the mentoring and development of new staff
• 1 year recent experience (in the last 2 years) in an adult education role.
