Lock Search Group is excited to be partnering with a freight forwarding industry giant, seeking a new Head of Sales to lead their high-growth Canadian business unit.

As the National Head of Sales, you will hold the reins of the company's commercial business in Canada, overseeing a spectrum that encompasses sales, operations, business expansion, pricing strategies, tender management, and comprehensive customer service. The successful candidate will steer the ship of our client’s sales strategy for their range of products, while also nurturing and guiding our dynamic sales and customer service unit. What you will be doing:

  • Hold accountability for an annually assigned new account development budget, aligning with overarching goals.
  • Craft and enact nationwide sales strategy, maximizing revenue through regular client engagement and proposing innovative solutions.
  • Champion revenue models, operations support, and strategic customer engagement strategies.
  • Take the lead in developing and retaining grandfathered accounts in the Luxury Retail / High Fashion sector.
  • Guide credit management processes and deliver value-added consultation to meet customer needs.
  • Shape team quotas and KPIs, emphasizing sales growth, customer education, and brand marketing.
  • Drive customization and implementation of impactful systems (CRM, ERP) for desired outcomes, while overseeing the company CRM system to meet Global KPIs.
  • Direct international sales across diverse markets, pinpointing growth prospects and capitalizing on opportunities
  • Supervise pricing, tenders, and robust sales pipeline management, consistently delivering on forecasts and objectives.
  • Stay updated on market trends and competition, recommending strategic partnerships and acquisitions.


The experience you bring:

  • 10+ years of management experience required in sales/customer service, preferably in Freight Forwarding and Supply Chain Management.
  • Ocean and Air freight sales experience highly preferred.
  • 10+ years of management experience required in operation, preferably in Freight Forwarding and Supply Chain Management.
  • National and International Travel will be required.
  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience highly preferred.
  • Experience with writing professional sales proposals and standard operation procedures highly preferred.
