National Director - Financial Institutions


Reporting to the Executive Vice President, Canada Specialties, the National Director-Financial Institutions is critical to the effective management and strategic positioning of all aspects of sales and operations of the Financial Institutions sector.

What The Day Will Look Like


This leadership role will provide opportunities to directly influence the success of our Canadian business, specifically focused on existing and prospective Financial Institution clientele. Accountabilities of the role include the following:


  • Build the adaptability of the organization to be able to anticipate changes and disruption in the Financial Institutions segment, to ensure client expectations are met and exceeded.
  • Serve as the primary representative of our firm for the Financial Institutions segment with insurance markets, media and government regulators.
  • Overall accountability for the Financial Institutions vertical’s performance; as such, collaborate with global and regional leadership to identify, spearhead and leverage new market and client service opportunities, determine causes of underperformance, and identifying necessary corrective action steps where objectives are not being met.
  • Lead a national group of experts, providing mentorship, professional development opportunities, performance management and hiring to ensure the continued excellence and progress of all team members.
  • Develop and improve national strategies to drive revenue growth and client retention in the Financial Institutions sector.

  • Well-rounded understanding of the Financial Institutions segment risk solutions/products, and a highly developed intellectual curiosity to develop further knowledge of and in the business.
  • Commercial and business acumen to prioritize what is most important and leverage resources across the organization (locally, regionally, and globally) to drive business results.
  • 10+ years of prior experience managing large teams
  • Financial experience to develop business plans and analyze and interpret business results.
  • Successful design and implementation of growth strategies, preferably in the Financial Institutions vertical.
  • Proven track record of establishing an inspiring vision for a National Financial Institutions segment, leading to organizational changes.
