Job Description

We are currently seeking aMerchandising Assistant to join our team. This individual will be responsible for providing purchasing and administrative support for our merchandising team.

Job Responsibilities:


Purchasing administration


·Create product numbers and leverage forecasting reporting to create purchase orders for new product ordering cycle.

·Run and communicate vendor sales and inventory to core vendor base on weekly/monthly basis to aid in replenishment requirements.

·Create and review vendor orders and contract details

·Responsible for vendor relationship as it pertains to tracking images, verifying content and requesting and collecting product samples for the purpose of creating in house planograms.

·Responsible for the collection of product information for both online and in store this includes tracking images, verifying content and ensuring overall data integrity

·Liaise with vendors to deal proactively with issues relating to purchases, delivery, invoicing and defects

·Manage PO process to deal proactively with issues.

·Participate in the development of product information and communication to stores including for example, product knowledge documentation as it pertains to everyday and seasonal assortments, product issues and promotional information

·Coordinate and communicate with receiving team on issues/information pertaining to purchase orders

·Provide inventory analysis support particularly associated with discontinued inventory sale cycle (bi-annually)

·Visit stores to gain information on product merchandising, shelving, customer access, sell through and to gain insight and input to improve selection, inventory and processes

·Identify opportunities and create reports and spread sheets to support buying team.

Fulfillment Support

·Coordinate inventory management processes; weekly store orders with Logistics department and fulfillment staff

·Resolve any shipping, receiving, pricing problems to ensure orders are received efficiently; assist with the resolution of problems that arise

·First line of contact for order fulfillment questions


Purchasing/Marketing Support

·Support with maintenance and communication of key product marketing information to all stakeholders

·Support buying team in selection and creation of all product lists for marketing programs

·Provide promotional reporting and analytics for profitability and results.

Responsible for all marketing funding collection and actualization


Other Administrative Duties

·Provide administrative level support for assigned projects.

·May be required to attend supplier fairs or promotional events.

·Work with customer service team to resolve issues and provide support where needed.


Qualifications:

·Certification/diploma in Business, Purchasing, Supply Chain/Logistics or equivalent required

·Minimum 1-year comparable experience in a retail environment preferred

·Proficiency with software applications in desktop environments (Microsoft office, word, power point, excel, V-lookups)

·Demonstrated ability & interest to provide exceptional quality customer focused service

·Strong detail and organizational skills required

·Strong & clear verbal written, and personal communication skills required
