Job Description
Role impact:


The Specialist - Marketing (Digital) will bring experience and passion to lead and build CF’s digital channels to connect with customers everyday with relevant, engaging content and communications. Overall, as part of the digital team, this role will play a part in managing digital campaigns and help to build strategy across the digital channels for all properties. The incumbent will be responsible for planning and testing on respective digital channels, formats and content communications and track to optimize performance KPIs specifically on digital.


On the Digital team, it will be important to support the digital channels and more specifically:


  • Email: help to drive email strategy, process and implementation and bring to life CF’s marketing and content via email to deliver the optimal experience for CF Insider community members. This role will work to develop email trigger campaigns and leverage insights to build out audience groups to deliver a more personalized newsletter experience across all campaigns.
  • Web: help deliver marketing, content, and Search Engine Optimization (SEO) strategy on CF’s web properties and monitor those web properties to continuously optimize for an improved customer experience and SEO.
  • Community Engagement: will be responsible for monitoring CF’s social media channels to engage and communicate with the CF Digital Community. This role will play a key part in delivering appropriate and timely responses to customers’ contacts on social media channels to create a positive customer engagement with CF. It will require a high level of accountability to CF Community Engagement Playbook and escalation management approach.


What you will deliver:


  • Brief the MarCom and Design team on the digital creative needs and ensure assets are optimized for digital channels.
  • Track, monitor and report key KPI performance at regular intervals for ongoing digital optimizations and data driven decision making.
  • Execute a data driven, test and learn approach to digital marketing across all digital platforms.
  • Solicit property specific content, incorporate review from MarCom and then optimize execution on the digital channels, in collaboration with Regional Marketing.
  • Gather data on consumer and digital channel insights, competitive analysis and other relevant ideas and innovation to work with the Manager - Digital to inform and build out strategy on the digital platforms for every day and seasonal campaigns.


Email:


  • Continually test and optimize key email components such as subject lines, timing, creative layouts, segmentation, frequency and more.
  • Work closely with the Marketing Intelligence team and external agency to build out audience segmentation lists customized and develop automated trigger campaigns based on customer insights to deliver a more personalized customer experience.
  • Build and maintain email delivery process with a high attention to detail and collaboration to drive efficiency in cross functional approvals and ensure high level of quality and accuracy.
  • Collaborate with Marketing Intelligence and external agency to monitor database health and ensure all technical aspects of email are functioning.


Web:


  • Work closely with the Marketing team to optimize the content to align with web best practices, brand guidelines and optimized for both mobile and desktop visitors.
  • Continually monitor and optimize web properties for SEO including researching and tracking performance against key search terms, working with the marketing team to optimize content and monitoring for consistent look and feel aligned to the brand guidelines to improve the overall customer experience and engagement.
  • Leverage existing content-full components to build new pages and then work with the D&T team to collaborate as needed on new web components or Content Management System (CMS) feature enhancements to successfully manage and execute web-based projects.
  • Support web projects from initial concept to successful delivery and lend support to occasional cross-channel coordination where web integrates with email and app channels. Effectively communicate with internal stakeholders, specifically the project management team, to field incoming web requests as well as the web-based tasks for major marketing campaigns to manage timelines and provide any required updates from a project management standpoint.


Community Engagement:


  • Strong collaboration with key stakeholders in the Regional Marketing, Property Operations and Corporate Communications teams to follow the escalation process on customer contacts where necessary.
  • High attention to detail and accuracy of customer responses in line with the customer communication approach within the CF Community Engagement Playbook and deliver against the Service Level Agreements (SLAs) as required.
  • Support to deliver increased engagement and a more positive perception of CF on CF’s social media channels.
  • Consistent monitoring of social media channels for customer comments and direct messages to track, prioritize and identify the level of response required.
  • High level of communication and collaboration with the Regional Marketing team to direct and solicit required customer responses for any property specific inquiries.

  • Strong relationship management skills with internal and external stakeholders and ability to manage any challenges to successfully deliver against project goals, budgets, and timelines.


What you need to succeed:


  • Post-secondary education preferably in Business, Marketing, Communications, Digital Marketing or Event Marketing.
  • Minimum 3 years of marketing experience


Nice to Haves:


  • Knowledge in Google Suite.
  • Knowledge in budget and invoice management tools.
  • Knowledge in project management tool Asana.
