Marketing Manager, Canadian Tire Centre

Job Summary

The Marketing Manager is a unique role focused on developing the Canadian Tire Centre brand within the Ottawa community. Responsibilities include planning, supporting and booking media on behalf of promoters, managing social platforms by developing a content strategy and calendar. Creatively pushing the envelope to put Canadian Tire Centre at the forefront of entertainment in Ontario. The successful candidate will have a can-do attitude, with a passion to create meaningful moments for guests at Canadian Tire Centre. This role requires attendance at shows and events outside standard business hours.

Reports to: Director, Marketing

Main Responsibilities

• Internally support announcement and ticket sale dates
• Support with internal and external communications as required
• Monitor and respond to fan survey feedback when appropriate
• Book advertising campaigns for shows hosting events at Canadian Tire Centre
• Creatively welcome artists to the venue through gifting and specialty welcomes
• Support Canadian Tire Centre Social channels by developing social strategy and executing content
• Support in guest communication
• Monitor Canadian Tire Centre Twitter and Facebook inboxes for fan questions, responding in a professional and timely manner

Job Requirements

• University or college marketing or communications graduate, or related field, previous experience in entertainment or events considered an asset
• Bilingual (English & French) is a strong asset
• Strong communication and collaboration skills, maintaining a team mentality
• Excellent time management skills with ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines
• Passionate about the entertainment industry
• Ability to remain flexible and adaptable in a fast-paced environment
• Excellent attention to detail
• Ability to conduct themselves in a professional manner at all times
