Job Description

We are looking for an experienced, creative and organized Marketing and PR Specialist to join our impact-driven, women-led team at BridgingTheGap Ventures. The ideal candidate will excel in developing compelling email-marketing content, digital lead generation strategy and press/media campaigns that increase conversions and retention of our global community.

Responsibilities

  • Project manage the marketing team’s ongoing email campaigns, social media content curation and website development, ensuring they are aligned with BridgingTheGap’s goals and brand values
  • Drive traffic to BridgingTheGap’s websites and other platforms as well as generate leads and sales, when applicable, by leveraging effective content, campaigns, SEO and other strategies
  • Work closely with the BridgingTheGap team to strategize and gather feedback, as well as contribute to larger organizational goals
  • Create, edit and publish compelling content for BridgingTheGap’s websites (including landing pages, email captures and static pages), email campaigns and other B2C messaging to spark engagement, generate leads and drive sales
  • Be available for the team to answer questions, provide guidance and support—taking responsibility to ensure tasks get done and assisting where needed to make this happen
  • Assign, review and implement regular email blasts and email drip campaigns
  • Ensure BridgingTheGap’s brand voice and values are maintained, including addressing the needs and wants of various global stakeholders
  • Create and maintain workback schedules and deadlines for colleagues, keeping in mind priorities and capacities, shifting and adjusting as needed
  • Utilize web and email analytics to inform business decisions and future content strategies
  • Oversee weekly reviews and provide guidance on the social media editorial calendars for multiple platforms and channels (i.e. Instagram, Twitter, Discord, etc.)
  • Assign and review new and existing webpages, including copy and design, for multiple BridgingTheGap websites
  • Oversee the strategic marketing of BridgingTheGap’s on-demand membership, including automated emails, promotions, paid registrations and revenue
  • Stay up-to-date on content marketing trends, including identifying and implementing effective competitor strategies that align with BridgingTheGap’s standards and audience


Requirements

You must include a link to your portfolio demonstrating your marketing experience from your resume—detailing where and how you contributed to each project—in order to be considered for an interview.


  • Receptive to constructive feedback from multiple sources as well as an enthusiasm to apply it and continuously improve output
  • Ability to effectively leverage marketing data, analytics and consumer behaviour trends to generate creative content ideas, leads and revenue
  • Experience using HubSpot, Klaviyo and/or other marketing software to create and review engaging, creative email campaigns with a cohesive brand style
  • Strong communication skills, ensuring the ongoing and transparent flow of communication with fellow team members regarding project status updates, questions and feedback
  • Incredible attention to detail—rarely do errors or omissions happen
  • Strong copywriting, proofreading and self-editing skills as well as impeccable grammar
  • Proven experience in writing and editing effective email drip campaigns that engage global audiences and generate leads
  • Always takes initiative and is solution-oriented
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and easily manage multiple projects at the same time without getting overwhelmed
  • Ability to manage own time and perform under tight deadlines with minimal supervision
  • Experience leading a team, specifically within a marketing department, with an emphasis on fostering a motivated team environment

  • Effectively works both independently and as part of a team, based on project needs
  • Proven experience in writing and editing compelling landing page and website copy, social media content, as well as ensuring effective design and UX that increase website visits, clicks and lead capture rates
  • Impeccable organizational skills while also able to adjust, pivot and creatively problem-solve independently
