Our client is seeking a highly capable Manufacturing Planning Manager to join their growing team. As the Planning Manager, you will play a crucial role in leading and overseeing their Planning Department. What You'll Be Doing:

• Monitor key metrics to ensure the timely return of all job travelers from different areas of the factory and the closure of work orders.
• Analyze production data, comparing volume produced to labor hours utilized to identify opportunities for improved efficiency.
• Evaluate production schedules, work orders, and staffing documents to determine personnel and materials requirements, prioritizing to meet promised ship dates.
• Identify, analyze, and resolve scheduling issues that could potentially cause production delays, promptly communicating all delays or variances to the relevant stakeholders.
• Liaise with the customer service and purchasing teams regarding product deliveries and day-to-day project matters, actively participating in daily production meetings.
• Oversee the output of the Planning Department, ensuring timely scheduling and distribution of production schedules or work orders to the Assembly and Manufacturing Department.
• Provide guidance and oversight to the Planning team, ensuring each member works efficiently to deliver accurate and high-quality results within deadlines.
• Review critical documentation that impacts deadline outcomes, working closely with team members to ensure timely completion.
• Utilize the ERP system to schedule the release of production jobs and track their progress through internal and external work centers.
• Resolve daily problems by analyzing and troubleshooting issues associated with key metrics.
• Collaborate with internal teams to discuss capacity issues for effective forecasting and planning.

What You'll Need To Be Successful:

• Strong planning and/or project coordination experience in a manufacturing environment, preferably.
• Outstanding problem-solving skills, coupled with the ability to think quickly and respond effectively.
• Ability to execute tasks efficiently and prioritize them accordingly, demonstrating a strong commitment to task completion.
• Proven track record of personal responsibility and accountability.
• Clear and effective communication skills, using written, verbal, and non-verbal methods to promote understanding within the team.
• Demonstrated project management skills with a keen eye for organization and attention to detail.
• Excellent multitasking abilities, with the capacity to effectively prioritize work.
