Manager, Enterprise Risk
Job location: This position is to be hired in Canada and will be remote unless you live in the Ottawa area in which the role will be hybrid with a minimum of working in the office 3 days a week.
About The Team
Reporting to the Director, Risk & Sustainability, the Manager, Enterprise Risk will be responsible for spearheading the enterprise risk management (ERM) program at Kinaxis, including facilitating key activities throughout the risk management cycle across various business units, including identification, prioritization, assessment, treatment and monitoring/reporting. This role will collaborate stakeholders across the company to drive ERM, including third party and ESG-related risks, and lead several high-impact initiatives to deliver on ERM priorities.
What you will do
  • Collaborate with business units to develop initiatives and prepare deliverables, including establishing performance targets, performing risk assessments and overseeing implementation of risk mitigation efforts
  • Create systems, formalize processes, and establish metrics for key initiatives to increase transparency, accountability, and track performance.
  • Design and facilitate focus groups, workshops, and conference calls to support strategic planning, goal setting, risk identification, measurement and tracking.
  • Support the development of the risk-related policies, guidelines and best practices as well as GRC information systems.
  • Maintain a strong risk culture throughout the organization by supporting transparency and knowledge-sharing of risk-related information
  • Monitoring emerging standards and norms, including regulatory developments, industry trends, and best practices to apply insights that support internal processes and strategic direction
  • Responsible for design, consolidation of annual and quarterly risk reporting (regulated and non-regulated)
  • Set, facilitate, and oversee organization-wide risk efforts and initiatives across various internal / external stakeholder groups
What we are looking for
  • Knowledge of environmental and social risks and their impact
  • 5+ years of experience in progressively senior corporate risk management roles or Big 4 firms
  • Comfort with ambiguity and ability to use sound judgement to drive complex issues to resolution and influence to achieve result
  • Ability to work in an agile, dynamic, rapid-changing environment by prioritizing situations which require sense of urgency
  • Ability to make decisions on day-to-day activities and escalate timely
  • Must have experience working in a global, multi-functional context - ability to balance global and local requirements
  • Embodies a “company first” mentality, and acts as an ambassador to Kinaxis culture and values
  • Familiarity with ESG risk management and reporting regulations, standards and guidelines
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, or related field
  • Collaborative approach and ability to partner cross-functionally
  • Highly influential; a strong communicator with the ability to present information in an impactful way to a diverse audience
