Responsibilities:
- Utilize data analytics and trend analysis to assess transportation incidents, complaints, and accidents, and recommend process improvements and standards.
- Conduct safety audits and participate in company safety meetings to promote safe work activities.
- Plan, organize, direct, control, and evaluate the risk of our client's transportation company.
- Develop and implement policies and standards to maintain compliance with government safety regulations in Canada and the US.
- Build strong relationships with other departments to effectively coordinate transportation operations.
- Manage risk and compliance policies and ensure the effective implementation of all safety requirements.
- Develop long and short-range transportation plans/programs to ensure effective utilization of resources.
- Collaborate with staff members to formulate and implement transportation-related procedures and company goals, while maintaining customer service objectives.
Candidate Requirements:
- Excellent computer skills with proficiency in using the Microsoft Office Suite.
- Strong organizational and communication skills, with keen attention to detail.
- Proficiency in data analytics and trend analysis to interpret and lead results.
- Minimum of 5 years of progressive leadership experience in a similar role.
- Ability to effectively build close relationships with other departments.
- Willingness to travel minimally to outside terminals.
- Self-directed decision-maker who thrives in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to work in a safety-first culture and collaborate with business operations.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Demonstrated desire for future job progression.
- Knowledge of customs regulations.
- Certificate course in safety.
- College/University degree.
