Summary
Corporate Communications is at the centre of the action, providing support that enables Bell’s industry leadership. Our team works with multiple partners across Bell to drive our broadband, wireless and media business forward.
The Corporate Communications team develops and manages all external and internal communications strategies for Bell, providing leadership on Media Relations, Financial Communications, Internal Communications, Community Investment & Sponsorship and Public Affairs.
We are currently seeking a Manager, Communications and Analytics, to support strategic communications and public affairs initiatives, as well as to collect, measure and analyze results for communications insights.
Key Responsibilities
  • Strategy: Reporting to the Director, Public and Media Relations, support the development of proactive communications strategies and issues management plans, including for public affairs initiatives
  • Writing: Develop compelling and creative communications products, such as news releases, key messages, briefing notes, speeches, social media posts and other materials for external and internal audiences
  • Research: Conduct research on key issues and trends to prepare briefs and to inform communications strategies
  • Analytics: Develop and manage a new communications measurement framework to collect, evaluate and track results; analyze results for strategic insights to evolve communications initiatives
  • Quality: With a strong attention to detail, provide superb proofreading and editing services to ensure the team is delivering high-quality communications work at all times
Critical Qualifications
  • Three to five years experience in corporate communications and/or public affairs, having worked in a fast-paced, matrixed and dynamic work environment
  • Excellent research and analytical skills
  • Superior writing, editing and proofreading capabilities
  • Strong interest in and understanding of how existing and emerging public policy issues affect Canada’s telecommunications and media industry
Preferred Qualifications
  • Strong team player who excels at relationship building
  • Stay up-to-date on evolving economic, political, regulatory and social issues that affect Bell’s business across the country
  • Strong understanding of traditional and social media monitoring with a focus on analyzing and uncovering trends and insights to enhance communications and public affairs programs. Strong understanding of emerging technologies that affect corporate communications and public affairs
  • Excellent project management skills, including developing and managing work plans including across departments
  • Driven to succeed, takes initiative and committed to professional growth
  • Experience developing and executing proactive and reactive media relations strategies
  • Experience working on multichannel public awareness and advocacy campaigns
  • Experience developing and leveraging social media content to amplify corporate messages, engage with audiences and build followings
