The Manager, Business Data will be remotely based out of Canada. This is a permanent, full-time position.

Job Requirements

• Fluency in Microsoft O365 (Excel, SharePoint, Teams, OneDrive)
• 5+ years of analytics and technology related experience:
• Business/process improvement
• Business Intelligence
• Fluency in Microsoft’s Intelligent Data Platform (Azure Purview, Azure Synapse, Azure Data Factory)
• 2+ years discovering, evaluating, and prioritizing opportunities to leverage data for adding business value or improving the employee experience
• Familiar with programmatic data analytics tools and packages (R-Studio or Python/Pandas, TensorFlow, D3.js)
• Advanced understanding of Data Management principles and practices (DAMA-DMBOK)
• Implementation and integration of IT solutions
• Fluency in Microsoft SQL Server and T-SQL
• University degree in Business, Applied Computer Science, Engineering, or Software Engineering
• Advanced understanding of RDBMS, data architecture, data warehousing, and three-tier architecture
• 5+ years of experience managing and influencing key stakeholders during data/digital transformation activities
• Systems analysis and design
• Fluency in Microsoft’s Power Platform (Power BI, Power Automate, Power Apps)
• Analytics/Data Engineering

The main duties/responsibilities of this role include:

• Provide leadership and functional alignment to enterprise’s Data Governance program
• Develop strong relationships with enterprise technology teams (IT, Business Intelligence, and Analytics)
• Develop, implement, monitor and improve Key Performance Indicators (KPIs), to track and improve our data management system
• Manage, coach, and mentor direct reports on the Business Data team
• Identify, design and implement internal data automation, optimization and infrastructure process improvements
• Develop a data management playbook; illustrating our Irving Management System on business data management
• Provide leadership and functional alignment to the corporate data strategy through the continuous pursuit of world class performance
• Identify opportunities for improved commercial gain (revenue generation/cost saving) by leveraging data and emerging technologies
• Develop, implement, and maintain Data Literacy program to improve data-driven decision-making throughout the organization
• Effectively communicate complex information relating to our data management vision and management program
