The Position

Our Edmonton-based client is in search of a qualified candidate to take charge the development and maintenance of diverse software applications crucial for supporting business operations. These applications encompass a range of systems, such as Salesforce, ERP, accounting, Human Resource Information system, as well as in-house custom applications and integration tasks. The appointed manager will be held accountable for ensuring the timely and budgeted development and deployment of software applications, all while satisfying the needs of business stakeholders.

What You'll Do

• Take charge of the maintenance and enhancements of the ERP system according to business needs.
• Possess hands-on experience in software development and exposure to the full software development life cycle, project management, and quality assurance.
• Effectively communicate with business stakeholders to understand their requirements and ensure the software applications align with their needs.
• Lead and manage a team of up to 7 System Analysts, Business Analysts, and Team Leaders.
• Collaborate with the IT manager to integrate software applications with other systems and align them with the overall IT strategy.
• Oversee the entire software development life cycle to guarantee applications are developed and deployed on schedule, within budget, and to the satisfaction of business stakeholders.
• Ensure software applications are developed to high-quality standards and are easily maintainable and scalable.

Mandatories

• Strong understanding of software development methodologies, including Agile and Waterfall, with familiarity with the Scrum framework being advantageous.
• Experience in .Net, C#
• Proven experience in leading software development and application services teams.
• Strong communication and leadership skills.
• Bachelor's degree in computer science, software engineering or a related field
• Sound knowledge of system integrations involving multiple systems exchanging data through RESTful APIs, flat file exchange, or direct database access.
