About The Role
As a Maintenance Planner, you’ll coordinate maintenance operations and office administration for a mission critical environment. Provide input and maintenance oversight of processes related to base building and Data Centre Infrastructure Management (DCIM). Not limited to, Hardware planning, space and power planning, and Access Control. Liaising with Client/Facility team members for successful completion of PM’s/CM’s. Develop and document procedures for DCIM, maintain existing documents and inventories, and undertake and resolve Data Centre structured cabling issues involving Copper/fibre cabling and wire mapping.
This job is a part of the Facilities Management functional area which focuses on all aspects of property and building services, including acting as an interface and a channel for communication between landlord, tenants and service providers and monitoring the performance of all parties that have an impact on the provision of facilities management at a respective location.
What You’ll Do
  • Provide regular statistical reporting to the management team and client showing quantities evidence of the productive use of the workforce.
  • Analyze work orders (e.g., size, urgency, skill set, location, complexity, and available manpower) and assist facility operations teams with issuing work orders in a sequential flow to individual technicians or work teams.
  • Develop, maintain and distribute workflow processes to the entire account team documenting how work is planned, scheduled and executed.
  • Use guidelines set by management to develop, implement, and manage preventive maintenance and life cycle optimization strategies.
  • Work closely with Technicians to coordinate materials, permits, subcontractors, tools, and another resource necessary to accomplish the work in the most productive manner possible.
What You’ll Need

  • Ability to effectively present information to an internal department and/or large groups of employees.
  • Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
  • Ability to calculate simple figures such as percentages.
  • Valid driver's license, if driving required in conjunction with job duties. Facility Management and CFC certification are desired.
  • Advanced skills and expertise in a range of processes, procedures and systems.
  • Evaluate and communicate unusual and/or complex content in a clear manner.
  • Ability to use a work order system.
  • Gather and analyze data to identify and solve complex problems that arise with little or no precedent.
  • Ability to comprehend and interpret instructions, short correspondence, and memos and ask clarifying questions to ensure understanding.
  • Intermediate skills with Microsoft Office Suite, Outlook, and intranet/internet.
  • Basic knowledge of financial terms and principles.
  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED) Required. Minimum of four years of related experience and/or training in a mission critical environment
  • Ability to respond to common inquiries or complaints from clients, co-workers, and/or supervisors.
  • Impact own team and other teams whose work activities are closely related; suggest improvements to existing processes and solutions to improve the efficiency of the team.
  • Perform additional tasks as required.
