Our client is a leading manufacturer in the Food / Chemicals / Ingredients industry and has a job opening for Logistics Manager / Supply Chain Manager for a leader ideally with TDG experience This is a hands-on management position to oversee the Transportation, Freight, Drivers, 3rd party carrier management, Warehousing, Freight Forwarding, Custom clearance, Purchasing, Inventory and Compliance. The position is based in K/W area (Kitchener - Cambridge - Guelph), ON and requires to be in office on-site.

Logistics Manager / Supply Chain Manager is fully responsible for Inventory, Transportation Spends, Purchasing, Fleet, Warehousing, Customs, Compliance with 4-5 direct and in-direct reports. You will provide leadership to the buyer for local and international sourcing spends, transportation spends (ocean, air, LTL, Truck Load, Container management); create and maintain partnerships with freight and transportation providers, 3rd party carriers, manage Inventory and be responsible for fleet and driver management (2-3). You will work with customs and freight forwarding partners to ensure documentation and compliance and maintain /reconcile correct inventory levels within the ERP system. This is a Continuous Improvement role to write revise SOPs, Best Practices, Handling of Dangerous Goods, and lead supply chain logistics to facilitate change management for the exponential growth plans of this global organisation.

Logistics Manager / Supply Chain Manager will ideally have a degree (preferred) or diploma (preferred) in Supply Chain / Freight / Transportation, with minimum of 4-5 years leadership / management experience ideally from a compliance driven industry like Food, Chemicals, Ingredients, Pharmaceuticals or similar. Transportation of Dangerous goods TDG (preferred) bulk tanker systems freight (preferred). Freight, Logistics, Transportation, 3rd Party Carrier Management, Customs Compliance, Shipping Receiving, Warehousing, Budgets, spends is a MUST. CCLP (preferred). ERP, MS Excel, Driver management are all required for this job. Excellent communication skills in English and an ability to create partnerships with external (3rd party carriers, over-seas suppliers) and internal (finance) is a MUST.
