Job Title:Systems Analyst 1

Duration:12 months initial contract with potential extend for long term

Location:REMOTE

Project Details

The primary purpose of the Systems Analyst 1 is to work with the Health Data Migration team to transition data to/from client;s owned Clinical Electronic Medical Records applications. The position will require occasional after hours/weekend work.

As part of the team, you’ll be responsible for:

• Contributing to ongoing development and refinement of data migration tools and processes
• Tracking issues, communicating project status, and managing project risk
• Collaboration with various teams across the business to identify roadblocks and resolve issues, to ensure timely completion for each project
• Executing production data migrations (requires occasional evening/weekend work)
• Planning and performing go-live transformation and validation to ensure no data is lost or corrupted
• Mapping and transforming data using various techniques (ex. XSLT, MapForce, scripting, etc.) based on customer input and requirements
• Extracting data from various source systems and data stores by performing business coding (ex. Java, Python, C#, etc.)
• Performing ad-hoc queries (ex. SQL, LINQ, etc.) and reports to analyze customer data before and after migration

Qualifications

What you bring

• Experience in working with SQL/TSQL
• Experience in working with a scripting language (ex. Bash/JavaScript/Python/Perl/etc.)
• Experience in working on data transformation or development projects
• Experience in working with XML and related tools (ex. XSL/XPath)
• Graduation from a post-secondary institution specializing in related technologies

Technical Knowledge:

• Scripting (ex. Python/Groovy) or development (ex. Java/C#)
• Linux/Unix and Groovy an asset
• SQL/TSQL
• Data Transformation Scripting and Mapping (ex. XML, XSL/XPath)
• Familiarity with databases such as MSSQL, Oracle, MySQL, etc.

Must have skills:

1. Technical knowledge in SQL/TSQL,MSSQL, Oracle, MySQL, etc

2. Must have knowledge in Data Transformation Scripting and Mapping (ex. XML, XSL/Xpath)

3. Basic scripting language (ex. Bash/JavaScript/Python/Perl/etc.)

4. Linux/Unix and Groovy is an asset

5. Excellent verbal and written communication skills in both business and technical situations

6. Strong analysis and problem solving skills with the ability to identify root cause

7. Graduation from a post-secondary institution specializing in related technologies

Nice to have skills:

1. Fresh graduate, or someone with 1 to 2 years of experience

2. Detail oriented and Avid problem solver

3. Ability to multi-task and manage numerous concurrent projects
