Are you passionate about data and how it can be leveraged for storytelling, insight gathering and decision-making? Are you looking to get your career started in marketing data analytics or advancing the data skills you’ve previously developed, working as part of a multi-disciplined marketing team that loves to share knowledge and collaborate on solutions? Do you have experience building reports and dashboards leveraging data inputs from sources such as Google Analytics, Excel/Google Sheets, and marketing automation platforms?
If the answer is ‘yes’ to the above questions and you’re seeking an opportunity to join a fast-paced, award-winning marketing agency that is a different kind of organization, then you may be a great addition to Quarry’s Marketing Operations team.
What you’ll be doing:
- Implement and maintain dashboards that support reporting and analysis of marketing campaigns and programs with guidance/direction from Marketing Operations, Data Analytics, and Performance Strategy leads.
- Contribute in a supportive role to R&D initiatives that expand on Quarry’s data analytics capabilities and services, including (but not limited to) predictive modelling, customer journey analytics, etc.
- Support the activation of measurement strategies by building, managing and validating tracking codes (i.e. UTMs) for campaign channel tactics.
- Utilize various data processing tools and techniques (e.g. Excel, Python) to cleanse, merge, and transform large datasets to support integration with reports and dashboards for analysis.
- Audit the deployment of tag management systems (e.g. Google Tag Manager, Adobe Tag Manager) on client web properties and campaign landing pages to support tracking and measurement of campaigns and channel tactics in analytics platforms (e.g. Google Analytics, Adobe Analytics). As needed, troubleshoot and configure tag management systems to ensure measurement requirements are met.
- Leverage available tools and platforms to research and gather data intelligence on client target accounts and buyers that supports targeting, segmentation, personalization, messaging and content strategies.
- Collaborate with subject matter experts to understand campaign and program goals, objectives, and KPIs to inform measurement and tracking requirements.
What we are looking for:
- Understanding of statistical models and familiarity with statistical tools (e.g. R) is an asset
- Basic understanding of common B2B CRM (Salesforce in particular) and Marketing Automation platforms (e.g. Marketo, Eloqua/Oracle Marketing Cloud, HubSpot, and Pardot) is a plus
- Experience and expertise with data visualization platforms such as Google Looker Studio, Tableau and Power BI.
- Experience and expertise in common web tracking and analytics tools (e.g. Google Tag Manager, Google Analytics, Adobe Tag Manager, Adobe Analytics). Knowledge and experience in Google Analytics 4 is a plus.
- Expert knowledge of how to leverage Excel and Google Sheets to standardize, connect, and manipulate data (e.g. Vlookups, pivot tables etc.)
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, high attention to detail as well as excellent communication skills, written and spoken
- Prior experience in data integration, manipulation/cleaning, analysis and reporting
- Basic understanding of typical marketing channels such as web, email, display advertising, and social, and the common measures and metrics that help evaluate performance
- Understanding of Relational Database systems and a working knowledge of how to program in languages such as Python and SQL
- Post-secondary education related to the position requirements (e.g. business program with a strong quantitative focus, computer science, mathematics, or data management/development)
- Basic understanding of B2B marketing, including traditional demand creation, demand generation and ABM is a plus
Salary Range:
Starting at $55,000 - actual salary will be dependent on the skills/experience of the successful candidate
