POSITION
Title: Jr. Analyst, Digital Insights
Reporting To: Manager, Digital Insights & Intelligence
Status: Part-Time, Temporary (Ends on December 22, 2023). Approx. 24 hours per week. Possibility of Full-Time.

JOB SUMMARY
As a Jr. Analyst, Digital Insights in Tourism Richmond's Marketing Department, you will play a key role in supporting the organization's analytics, business insights and market research function, as well as broader organizational planning. You will engage primarily with internal stakeholders and occasionally with external partners on analytics, research, and database maintenance projects.
You are a highly organized and detail-oriented individual who is resourceful, curious, and driven to help rebuild the tourism industry in Richmond. You are excited by the latest trends and research, possess strong analytical skills. You work effectively both independently and as part of a dynamic team.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Support reporting from Tourism Richmond's digital marketing platforms such as Google Marketing Platform (Google Analytics, Google Ads, DV360, etc.), Meta Business Suite, and MailChimp.
• Support data analytics and market research programs and initiatives as needed.
• Assist with data collection and analysis for advanced reports and executive dashboards.
• Maintain and update data sources and internal databases.
• Monitor economic, industry and business, consumer, competitors, and market trends and developments to inform destination management, development and promotion, and strategic planning.
• Support Tourism Richmond's CRM and email strategy, including recommending best practices for database management and assisting with email campaign management.
• Provide general WordPress, MailChimp, and CRM administration support.
• Stay up to date with emerging technologies and identify innovation opportunities with respect to the processes, tools, and metrics used by Tourism Richmond.
• Perform other duties and tasks as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS
• Post-Secondary education in Business Administration, Business Analytics, Marketing, Computer Science, or equivalent training/experience.
• 2+ years of marketing data analysis experience in a B2C and/or B2B environment is considered an asset.
• Experience with Google Analytics, Google Ads, and Google Looker Studio is preferred.
• Experience with WordPress and MailChimp is preferred.
• Knowledge of PowerBI and SQL is strongly preferred.
• Ability to learn new technology quickly.
• Experience and proficiency working with data analytic/reporting tools such as Google Workspace and MS Office suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
• Knowledge of and passion for the tourism industry is a definite asset.
• Forward-thinking, proactive, resourceful, and a positive, helpful attitude.
• Strong communication and presentation skills, with the ability to put together reports and present insights and findings.
