Preteckt is on a mission to empower teams to turbocharge vehicle maintenance. Preteckt provides cloud-based software that helps vehicle maintenance teams better understand the current and future needs of the vehicles under their care. The software helps them understand relevant maintenance issues, their root cause, and what actions that should be taken. This helps the fleets operating these vehicles to operate at lower cost while also benefitting from greater safety and reliability. Preteckt is currently serving the municipal transportation and trucking industries in North America.

About the Role

As an intermediate financial analyst, you will be responsible for analyzing financial data and providing insights to support the company's decision-making process. Your role will be crucial in maintaining the financial health of the organization. The role can be done remotely; however, we are looking for someone based in Canada or the USA. There is a preference for someone in the Greater Toronto/Hamilton Area or the Memphis, TN Area.

Key Responsibilities

• Collaborate with different departments to understand their financial needs and provide recommendations
• Work with customers to quantify the financial impacts of Preteckt’s technology
• Analyze financial data and identify trends, risks, and opportunities
• Interpret financial data and provide insights to support decision-making
• Monitor and report on financial performance, including budget vs. actual analysis
• Identify and implement process improvements to optimize financial performance
• Assist in the preparation of budgets and financial plans
• Prepare financial reports, forecasts, and models

Qualifications

• Proficient in financial modeling and forecasting
• Detail-oriented and able to manage multiple priorities. Ideally, someone who is hypothesis-driven.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Preferred but not required: educational background in finance, accounting, or business admin
• Experience in financial analysis (P&L review, forecasting, managerial economics)
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel or Google Sheets

Timeline/Process:

Two to three rounds of interviews

• Target start: September or early October 2023.
• Second Round of interviews: August 14th to 18th, 2023
• First round of interviews: August 7th to 11th, 2023

Compensation:

• Willing to negotiate for exceptional candidates
• Benefits: health insurance, professional development fund, + others
• Base: $60k to $100k CAD ($45k to $75k USD)
