Be our next Intermediate Traffic Engineer!

Your work environment at EXP

• Transportation master plans, and transportation policy development;
• Active transportation, complete streets, traffic calming projects;
• Complex traffic impact studies for land development;
• Coordinate internal resources to ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget and with quality control;
• Make presentations as a representative of EXP to our clients - Municipal road authorities and MTO;
• Oversee the assessments and preparation of reports, drawings, etc. by junior staff; and
• Prepare technical reports and presentations;
• Handles transportation planning and traffic operations analyses associated with:
• Make a positive contribution to the overall team culture and environment.
• Support for Traffic tasks and projects:
• Environmental assessment and construction traffic impact analyses;
• Operational analysis, including micro-simulation;
• Assist in business development activities to continue to grow our group; and
• Parking facilities and curbside use assessments;

What a day at EXP has in store for you

• Strong interpersonal skills that focus on meeting customer requirements;
• Valid Ontario driver’s license.
• Degree in Civil Engineering with 5+ years of related experience, preferably with Ontario municipal road and provincial transportation authorities and land development;
• Experience with transportation studies, specifically with Transportation Master Plan and Active Modes of Transportation projects is desirable;
• Experience in project management, report preparation, and client relationship management;
• MTO RAQS (Registry, Appraisal and Qualification System) certification for Traffic Analysis, or qualifications to certify;
• Attention to detail and accuracy;
• P. Eng. designation with PEO is required;
• Excellent oral and written communication skills, as well as advanced technical writing abilities;
• Initiative is highly desirable, self-motived to take on new initiatives and lead projects;
• Strong organizational and time management skills;
• Proficient in the application of specialized traffic assessments and/or transportation planning software (Synchro, VISSIM, Aimsum and EMME);
