Accounting professional who thrives under tight deadlines with minimal supervision this could be the Intermediate Accountant role for you if you are self-driven and organized. A Intermediate Accountant role has become available with one of our clients. The Intermediate Accountant will handle bank reconciliations, journal entries, month-end close, cash flow, financial statement preparation, audit, full cycle A/P, and payroll. At times, the Intermediate Accountant might also be asked to oversee the clerical staff. This permanent employment opportunity is based in the Winnipeg, Manitoba area. Apply for this role today!

Your responsibilities in this role

• Experienced with credit card management and reconciliation
• Assemble cash account journal entries including loans, taxes, bank fees, etc.
• Update Accounts Payable
• Report business license and gross receipts
• List budget transfers
• Organize cash flow projections, as needed
• Other assignments as requested
• Manage sales tax records and create and file quarterly payments
• Ready monthly reconciliations, financial statements and all supporting documents
• Direct Accounts Receivable
• Supervise monthly accounting close

Requirements

• Excellent analytical, organizational, and vendor management skills
• Adeptness in financial statement preparation
• Accounts Payable (AP) experience preferred
• Experience with Job Cost
• Crucial accounting experience, including as a Bookkeeper preferred
• Great attention to detail
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Strong familiarity with Accounts Receivable (AR)
• Demonstrated knowledge of Administrative Assistance
• Solid understanding of bookkeeping
• Self-starter with efficient time management and organizational skills
• Knowledge of Accounts Receivable (AR)
• 3+ years of related experience- Demonstrated ability to work in a dynamic and constantly changing company environment
• Vow to meet business deadlines
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail are a must
• BA/BS in Accounting, Finance, Economics or other business-related field preferred
