Ingénieur Système Propulsion Verte
L'ingénieur système de propulsion verte (IPV) a un profil d'activité allant de l'analyse de système à la conception et la pré-ingénierie de solutions dans le domaine de l'efficacité énergétique de la traction ferroviaire et de l'architecture de traction.
Après une première analyse du système, l'IPV identifie les architectures de traction hybride, sélectionne les technologies et conduit les études de pré-ingénierie et d'ingénierie pour dimensionner le système de traction hybride afin d'atteindre les performances de traction et énergétiques requises.
Liste Des Tâches Typiques

• Dimensionner le système hybride et fournir les profils de mission des composants
• Analyser le profil de performance des systèmes (infrastructure et matériel roulant)
• Modélisation du système hybride
• Proposer une architecture et un composant (activité conjointe avec le groupe Traction)

Missions Techniques

• Assurer la coordination entre Traction/TSE/Métier sur les interfaces, les performances, la résolution des problèmes techniques lors de la phase de conception détaillée.
• Assurer la cohérence et la compatibilité entre toutes les spécifications des sous-systèmes,
• Définir l'architecture du système hybride, les modes de fonctionnement et les fonctionnalités basé sur les exigences externes/internes.
• Analyse du profil d'exigences du cas d'utilisation.
• Soutenir l'ingénieur du système ferroviaire (TSE) pour définir la configuration hybride applicable

Activités Principales

• Sélection de l'architecture Hybride HT & Traction en phase d'appel d'offres et de projet avec la Business Unit Traction,
• Validation de l'architecture et pré-dimensionnement
• Faire des arbitrages sur la définition de l'architecture hybride entre les sous-systèmes pour atteindre le meilleur compromis au niveau du train
• Modélisation du système hybride pour tester l'architecture et la stratégie
• Interface technique avec SE Traction, Traction Engineer et TSS
• Rapport sur les performances de la gestion de l'énergie
• Fournir les profils de mission des composants
• Analyse des missions des trains, analyse et sélection des sources d'énergie avec la Business Unit Traction,
• Optimisation et maintenance des outils de dimensionnement
• Mises à jour du catalogue de stratégie de gestion de l'énergie
• Conception et sélection de la stratégie de gestion de l'énergie,

Activités V&V

• Définition de la stratégie de vérification au niveau du train pour le système hybride en étroite collaboration avec tous les métiers de l'ingénierie et les équipes de certification et de validation.
• Prise en charge de l'intégration et du réglage du système hybride.

CQD Et Rapports

• Accompagne le Chef de Métier dans les propositions d'amélioration QCD.
• Effectue des rapports au niveau du projet ou de l'appel d'offres (à SE, TSE ou BTM) et au niveau du métier
• Collabore avec SE/TSE au niveau de la mise à jour du plan d'atténuation des risques d'ingénierie pour les systèmes hybrides

Connaissance Et Expérience
Formation type : Ingénierie (mécanique, électrique) ; Physique (appliquée); Mathématiques appliquées
Capacité de travail rigoureux et autonome; appréciation de la dynamique du système
Compétences techniques générales
Connaissances Particulières

• Sources d'énergie (Batteries, Supercaps, piles à combustible, powerpack, etc.) et stratégies de gestion de l'énergie pour les systèmes hybrides
• Connaissance des systèmes ferroviaires considérée comme un atout
• Simulations multiphysiques et standards
• Composants des chaînes de conversion de puissance et de traction

Langues

• Anglais : niveau professionnel
• Français : considéré comme un atout

Green Propulsion System Engineer
Given the magnitude of the market potential, green mobility in the Americas region is of strategic importance for Alstom. That is why in line with the Alstom global strategy, it has been decided to create a Green Innovation Centre within the America Region. The main mission of the Green innovation center is to enable green innovation and value in the region.
To be part of this newly created Green Innovation center, we are looking for an Green Propulsion System Engineer.
In this role, the Green Propulsion System Engineer will be in charge of the entire scope from system analysis to design and pre-engineering of green solutions in the field of railway traction energy efficiency and traction architecture.
He/She will consequently identify hybrid traction architectures, selects technologies and technically leads the pre-engineering and engineering studies to dimension the hybrid traction system to reach the required traction and energy performances.
As an example of typical missions, the hybrid system engineer will work with various engineering and project team to:

• Propose with traction an architecture and component
• Modelling the hybrid system
• Size the hybrid system and provide component mission profiles
• Analyze systems’ performance profile (infrastructure and rolling stock)

Technical Missions

• Support the Rail System Engineer (TSE) to define the applicable hybrid configuration
• Ensure coordination between Traction/TSE/Trade on interfaces, performance, resolution of technical problems during the detailed design phase.
• Analysis of the use case requirements profile
• Ensure consistency and compatibility between all subsystem specifications,
• Define hybrid system architecture, operating modes and functionalities based on external/internal requirements.

Main activities:

• Design and selection of the energy management strategy,
• Optimization and maintenance of dimensioning tools
• Make arbitrations on the definition of the hybrid architecture between the subsystems to reach the best compromise at the level of the train
• Provide component mission profiles
• Selection of the Hybrid HV & Traction architecture during the call for tenders and project phase with the Traction Business Unit,
• Updates to the energy management strategy catalog
• Power Management Performance Report
• Modeling of the hybrid system to test the architecture and the strategy
• Analysis of train missions, analysis and selection of energy sources with the Traction Business Unit,
• Validation of the architecture and pre-sizing
• Technical interface with SE Traction, Traction Engineer and TSS

V&V activities:

• Definition of the verification strategy at train level for the hybrid system in close collaboration with all the engineering trades and the certification and validation teams.
• Support for hybrid system integration and tuning.

QCD and reports:

• Reports at the project or tender level (to SE, TSE or BTM) and at the business level
• Collaborate with SE/TSE on the update of the engineering risk mitigation plan for hybrid systems
• Accompanies the Head of Business in QCD improvement proposals.

Required Profile

• Languages:
• Capability of rigorous and autonomous work; appreciation of system dynamics
• French: considered as an asset
• Railway systems knowledge considered as an asset
• English: professional level
• Good communication and presentation skills
• Multiphysics and standards simulations
• Special knowledge:
• Typical educational background: Engineering (mechanical; electrical); Physics; Applied mathematics
• Energy sources (Batteries, Supercaps, fuel cells, powerpack, etc.) and energy management strategies for hybrid systems
• Power conversion and traction chains components
