THE OPPORTUNITY

We have the opportunity for an Infrastructure and Security Systems Analyst to join our team in Vancouver.

Reporting to the Manager, Infrastructure and Security, you will be responsible for life cycle management of our IT infrastructure in addition to ensuring robust cybersecurity defenses. You will work closely with team members to contribute to evolving our IT security posture. This position may require support work after business hours.

AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITY

• Participate in cyber incident response, disaster recovery and business continuity activities
• Engage in the design and delivery of IT infrastructure solutions meeting service objectives and target timelines
• Implement approved technologies, policies and procedures to identify and mitigate internal, external and ad hoc security threats
• Provide technical input for high-level project requirements and planning for new IT infrastructure delivery

• Collaborate with IT Support team to provide guidelines on new IT infrastructure and security deployments
• Accountable for maintaining the technical network and security infrastructure to ensure day-to-day stability
• Conduct threat and risk assessments using network and security controls to meet business security objectives, methodologies and standards
• Assist in identifying, prioritizing and resolving IT infrastructure and security issues
• Engage in design, maintenance and refresh life cycle of technical network and security infrastructure to meet and anticipate the evolving needs of the business

KNOWLEDGE AND EXPERIENCE

• B.Sc. in Computer Science or similar program or certification(s) related to IT systems and/or security
• Layer 2 and 3 Enterprise networking including Wi-Fi and branch-to-branch connectivity
• Familiarity with Python, PowerShell, Velociraptor Query Language and RegEx is an asset
• IT systems configuration, testing and production deployment
• Enterprise security experience with threat/risk identification and mitigation
• Working with switches, wireless and various firewall technologies is an asset
• Knowledge of HYPER-V and Citrix Virtualized Environments is an asset
• Minimum two years’ experience in IT Infrastructure and Security

COMPETENCIES AND PERSONAL ATTRIBUTES

• Ability to have or achieve within two (2) years of employment an industry-recognized network or security certification. Examples may include CCNA, CCFR, OSCP or CISSP
• Competence in presenting findings, feedback and recommendations to various stakeholders
• Excellent verbal and written communication and client service skills
• Willingness and passion to learn technical and security concepts in an Enterprise setting
• Passion for the information security industry, including keeping abreast with current software technologies, platforms, frameworks and security issues
