Information Technology Leader Jobs

The ideal candidate will have a wealth of experience tackling various hardware and software problems. They should be comfortable providing technology solutions to employees and working closely with third party software companies to adopt new technologies and efficiently use existing ones. This candidate should have prior experience working with information technology and understand the latest technology trends to ensure the technology in place is up to date.

Responsibilities

• Assist in the development of the vision and strategies of technologies and solutions, while working in partnership with other leadership in the planning and implementation of technology roadmaps.
• Anticipating IT problems and implementing preventive measures.
• Providing data reporting of KPIs and trends on a scheduled and ad-hoc basis to support the development of strategies to improve incident management practices to achieve desirable outcomes.
• Leading the IT Support team and maintaining an individual growth plan for each member including goals, milestones, education and training.
• Understand various IT troubleshooting and provide technical support
• Benchmark, analyze, report and make recommendations for the improvement and growth of IT infrastructure and systems.
• Oversee technologies and provide administrative assistance for various systems
• Control and monitor data, network access and backup systems
• Negotiate and communicate with third-party software providers for new software's and troubleshooting

Qualifications

• Strong project management experience
• Experience dealing and managing support vendors
• The ability to manage a development team and oversee application development
• At least 5 years’ experience in an IT Leadership role in addition to 8+ years’ of hands-on experience in Programmer Analyst and/or System and Network Administrator roles
• The ability to provide accurate estimates and meet timelines
• Effective communication skills, including excellent written communication
• A solid understanding of the software development life cycle
• A demonstrated ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with multiple priorities
• Strong customer service orientation and attention to detail
• The ability to travel ~ up to 10% of the time
• A technical degree or diploma, or a relevant combination of experience and certifications
• The willingness to work overtime hours when required
• Strong problem solving/troubleshooting skills
