As the HR Representative II for the Cleveland brand, you will be responsible for administering human resources policies and procedures that address employee and labour relations, recruitment, Worker’s Compensation, safety issues and compliance to all applicable laws and regulations. Using established tools and resources, you will apply your knowledge of programs and procedures in responding to general inquiries, collaborating on communications, and maintaining reporting requirements. As part of the human resources team, you will provide customer service to employees in a professional, timely and confidential manner.


Reporting directly to the Director of HR– this position is located in Vaughan, Ontario*.


Essential Job Functions:


  • Address employee relations issues, such as harassment allegations, work complaints, or other employment-related data and prepare required reports.
  • Works in HR Fusion and ORC as well as other software to maintain records of employee transactions such as hire, promotions, transfers, reviews and terminations and employee statistical reporting to government regulators.
  • Acts as a resource to leadership team, managers, and directors. Assists and advises in areas of compensation, recruitment, and promotion.
  • Maintains workforce listings, posts, and awards job bids.
  • Responsible for new hire employee orientation.
  • Promptly responds to grievances and maintains grievance log.
  • Benefit Administration to include claims resolutions, change reporting and communicating benefit information to employees.
  • Performing other duties as assigned
  • Back-up for Payroll processing.


Job Requirements:


  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Excellent computer skills in Microsoft Office including Excel
  • Ability to exercise judgment and independently determine and take appropriate action within defined HR policies and procedures.
  • Cleveland Range Ltd. located in Vaughan, Ontario, Canada is a leading manufacturer for over 65 years of stainless steel restaurant and foodservice equipment. At this facility 'Best in Class' Kettles, Skillets and Steamers are produced and sold world-wide to Foodservice, Institutional and various other Commercial Industries. The facility in Concord is a division of Welbilt.
  • Experienced in a manufacturing setting within a unionized environment
  • Bachelor’s Degree; preferably in Human Resources or related field; with a minimum of 3 to 5 years’ experience in HR
  • Designated CHRP preferred
  • Knowledge of applicable employment laws and regulations.
