Description
We are looking for a talented Global Process Engineering Manager for our #Accelera by Cummins business unit in Mississauga, ON.
In this role, you will make an impact in the following ways:
- Directly manages the resources that maximize workgroup productivity in support of business needs and implements near term business strategies with a focus on execution.
- This developing technical leadership position develops and delivers technical talent in a research, technology, or product development environment.
- The position also includes maintaining strong working relationships with a wide variety of stakeholders both within the technical function and across the broader business.
- Primary responsibility is the development of technically capable people often across multiple technical sites within a business unit or corporate and making these people available to perform duties necessary to satisfy the businesses technical needs
Qualifications
To be successful in this role you will need the following
- Keep up to date with the latest developments in the field of electrochemical engineering and hydrogen production and leverage this knowledge to drive innovation and competitive advantage
- Provide leadership to a global team for product development, customer project execution and process engineering method; schedule and coordinate work plans and assign tasks; mentor and guide team members
- Lead the development of electrochemical processes and technologies to produce hydrogen through electrolysis, from initial design to commercialization
- Develop and implement quality control procedures to ensure consistent and reliable operation of electrolyzer systems
- The role requires a strong product-oriented mindset, leading the application of relevant development methods, processes and tools like stage-gate process, risk mitigation and change management methods.
Education, Licenses, Certifications
Master or PhD degree in Chemical Engineering, Process Engineering, or a related field
College, university, or equivalent bachelor’s degree in Engineering or appropriate STEM field is required.
Experience Required
- The role requires a strong product-oriented mindset, leading the application of relevant development methods, processes and tools like stage-gate process, risk mitigation and change management methods.
- Global management experience (strong asset)
- Lead the development of electrochemical processes and technologies for the production of hydrogen through electrolysis, from initial design to commercialization, product development, customer project execution and process engineering method.
- Must have experience leading engineering team (20 engineers)
- 10 years of experience in chemical and process engineering, with a focus on electrochemical processes and technologies
- Prior Technical Specialist or entry level Technical/Engineering Management equivalent work experience in a product, technology, or engineering service role with demonstrated success leading projects and influencing outcomes through either direct or indirect reporting relationships.
- Strengthening and improving development speed by enhancing analytical and simulation capabilities in process engineering
- Must have a demonstrated track record of technical problem solving, quality decision making, providing technical direction and leadership to a project team(s) and conflict resolution.
- Must have extensive experience with the process of business development and chemical machines
