Your Job

• The Manager, Process & Applications Engineering (PAE) will provide management and leadership to subordinates within the department, to create a smooth functioning, responsive, effective, and efficient team, meeting departmental objectives in line with company goals.
• The successful candidate will oversee the preparation of accurate and timely proposals and quotations against customer requirements for opportunities generated by the Sales team, contributing to the Company’s bookings prospects.
• The incumbent is responsible for high quality process engineering designs for separation solutions and products providing value to customers and profitable business opportunity to the Company.

What You Will Do

Manager Responsibilities

• Maximize contribution of subordinates through training and development.
• Prepare and conduct personnel performance evaluations and proactively manage and motivate contribution of direct reports following Company principles.
• Manage and delegate responsibilities to ensure effective utilization of personnel.
• Establish, document and continually improve department processes, tools and methods.
• Department budget preparation, adherence and control.
• Anticipate, detect, analyze and resolve departmental problems.

Specific Responsibilities

• Consult and provide process engineering input and guidance to other departments (e.g. Sales, Technical Service, Systems Engineering, etc.).
• Evaluate and approve engineering change notices and process engineering standards.
• Final approval of proposals, calculations, equipment selection, costing information, and engineering drawings such as PFD, P&ID, equipment layout
• Lead process design development and/or optimization as well as product standardization efforts
• Manage process for review of client specifications in Requests for Quotations (RFQ) in cooperation with Systems Engineering.
• Set priorities for all projects for PAE.
• Evaluate, approve, and create implementation programs for completed value analysis and Team Innovation projects in conjunction with Systems Engineering and other Company resources as required.
• Evaluate technology transfer packages from Technology Development, in conjunction with Systems Engineering, and authorize for implementation.

Who You Are (Basic Qualifications)

• Experience with industrial process equipment applications.
• Chemical Engineering Degree.
• Exhibit sound business judgment.
• Be proficient with the following software: MS Word, Excel, Outlook, Teams and PowerPoint.

What Will Put You Ahead

• Experience with chemical process simulation software
• Experience with ion exchange technology
• P. Eng Designation
