Esri Canada has an immediate need for a GIS Support Analyst for our Support Services Department, based out of the Calgary, Vancouver, Victoria, Edmonton, or Kelowna offices working in Esri Canada's Technical Support Department.
As a GIS Support Analyst, you will connect with Esri Canada’s customers to understand their goals and to support their diverse GIS related work using ArcGIS Online, ArcGIS Apps and ArcGIS Pro software. Being resourceful, you will collaborate with colleagues to find creative solutions for complex issues, all while working in a dynamic and high performing environment.

GIS Support Analyst responsibilities include:
- Assist in a variety of proactive support initiatives to empower our customers.
- Identify and log defects for software improvements.
- Provide high-quality technical support in a friendly and efficient manner to Esri Canada end users.
- Resolve and troubleshoot software issues related to ArcGIS Online and ArcGIS Pro technology in a tactful manner demonstrating a sense of urgency and professionalism.
- Provide customers with possible workarounds when applicable.
- Maintain comprehensive case documentation in customer relationship management (CRM) system.
- Working collaboratively with other Esri colleagues to ensure that customer needs are being met.
Specific skill requirements:
- Ability to patiently communicate technical information clearly and concisely.
- University degree and/or postgraduate certificate/diploma in Geography, GIS or a related discipline.
- Ability to learn new concepts quickly, retain large amounts of information, and adapt to a changing work environment.
- Ability to provide outstanding customer service with a positive and friendly attitude.
- Strong research, troubleshooting and analytical skills.
- 2 to 5 years of experience using ArcGIS Pro and Online products.
- Strong prioritization skills including managing time and workload efficiently.
- Working knowledge of Esri products including ArcGIS Online, ArcGIS Apps and ArcGIS Pro technologies.
Considered as assets for this position are the following:
- Previous work experience using ArcGIS Desktop, ArcGIS Enterprise, and Geodatabases.
- Bilingual in English and French is an asset
- Customer Service training or experience
- Understanding of REST based services / technologies

Les responsabilités de l’analyste d’assistance SIG comprennent :
- Fournir de façon amicale et efficace une assistance technique de grande qualité aux utilisateurs finaux d’Esri Canada
- Tenir à jour une documentation complète sur les dossiers dans le système de gestion des relations avec la clientèle
- Résoudre et dépanner les problèmes liés à ArcGIS Online et à ArcGIS Pro de façon courtoise tout en faisant preuve d’empressement et de professionnalisme
- Collaborer avec ses collègues au sein d’Esri afin de répondre aux besoins des clients
- Participer à diverses initiatives proactives d’assistance afin d’outiller nos clients
- Cerner et consigner les défauts afin d’améliorer les logiciels
- Présenter aux clients les solutions de contournement possibles, au besoin
Formation, expérience et aptitudes nécessaires :
- Capacité à apprendre rapidement de nouveaux concepts, à retenir de grandes quantités de renseignements et à s’adapter à un environnement de travail en constante évolution
- Connaissance pratique des produits d’Esri, notamment ArcGIS Online, les applications ArcGIS et ArcGIS Pro
- Capacité à communiquer des renseignements techniques avec patience, clarté et concision
- 2 à 5 ans d’expérience dans l’utilisation des produits ArcGIS Pro et ArcGIS Online
- Capacité à fournir un service à la clientèle exceptionnel avec une attitude positive et amicale
- Diplôme universitaire ou bien certificat ou diplôme de troisième cycle en géographie, en géomatique ou dans une discipline connexe
- Très bonne aptitude à faire des recherches, du dépannage et des analyses
- Solides compétences en matière de hiérarchisation des priorités, notamment une gestion efficace du temps et de la charge de travail
- Communication efficace en anglais et en français tant à l’écrit qu’à l’oral
Compétences considérées comme des atouts :
- Expérience professionnelle dans l’utilisation d’ArcGIS Desktop et de géodatabases
- Bilinguisme (français/anglais)
- Formation ou expérience dans la prestation de services à la clientèle
- Compréhension des technologies et des services basés sur REST
