Are you looking for a phenomenal career opportunity in our Gas Control team in Calgary? If so, we are currently looking for a Gas Control Specialist to be a Subject Matter Expertise (SME) regarding the effective operation of the control room to safely monitor and control the Alliance Pipeline. You have key responsibilities to safely implement the control room processes to monitor and control the Pipeline effectively remotely. This will require a focus on the analysis and expert input to enable commercially centric, fiscally responsible, risk based decisions that support a viable, sustainable entity.

What You Will Do

• Provide Gas Controller daily support on SCADA issues as required.
• Assist in shift scheduling.
• Assist the Supervisor and Specialist with any compliance requirements including internal audits, self -assessments or Regulatory Audits.
• Respond and assist in Emergency responses as required and participate in Emergency Response Exercises.
• Provide relief for Gas Controllers, for vacation, sick leave, training, etc. and provide relief for the Team Supervisor, and second Specialist as required.
• Maintain knowledge of Control Room Management (CRM) processes including document support.
• Understands and uses the Management of Change Process (MOC) related to Gas Control and assist with the present and future MOC processes, including issuing MOCs, updating documentation, follow-ups etc.
• Represent Gas Control Team in various Enbridge Stakeholder Meetings.

Who You Are

• Gas Pipeline Emergency Response experience.
• High degree of knowledge of the hazards and safety precautions in the operations of a pipeline.
• You will be required to undergo various background screening that includes but is not limited to a criminal check, a company sponsored medical and drug testing.
• Excellent experience in the processes and operations of a control room
• Related technical diploma and a minimum of five years’ direct experience as a Enbridge Control Centre Operator III, or equivalent mix of education and experience.
• Strong experience of the processes, hydraulics, and operations of natural gas pipelines.

Working Conditions

• Required to reside within 45 minutes from Calgary location for emergency response purposes.
• Shift work and flexible hours may be required.
