The Role


The Production Control Assistant will be instrumental with managing the status of open production orders, Manufacturing Data Plates, and helping the Production Planners.


What You Will Do


  • Create and Print Crate Tags
  • Monitor order dates, adjust as necessary and coordinate with appropriate departments to re-schedule production.
  • Manage raw materials by timely inputting production orders to drive demand.
  • Assist in audits and inspections for customer and agency approval of products and processes.
  • Ensure that required material is supplied to the production floor to meet schedule.
  • Remain current on company procedures and specifications and assure that products conform accordingly.
  • Issue and schedule work orders to meet customer or inventory demand.
  • Co-Ordinate with Production Planners Day to day operation and deliver job packets to the appropriate work centers.
  • Monitor and adjust schedules to meet required dates and in accordance with MRP messages (AX).
  • Manage, adjust, and close production orders as needed in a timely manner to assure accuracy.
  • Help program the engraving machines templates.
  • Help prepare job packets and organize production jobs for the floor.
  • Engrave required nameplates while checking for accuracy and correctness.
  • Coordinate all materials shortages to purchasing on a timely basis.
  • Create and update template notes as required.


Knowledge & Qualifications


  • High School diploma or College degree preferred
  • Problem solving skills with the ability to think and react quickly to resolve issues
  • Proficient with Microsoft office
  • Proficient use of Microsoft Office or equivalent tools to perform daily tasks
  • Communication proficiency and collaboration skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft Dynamics AX
  • Team oriented
  • 1-2 years of experience in manufacturing environment preferred
  • Strong time management
