A career in our Forensic Consulting Generalist practice, within Fraud, Investigations and Regulatory Enforcement (FIRE) services, will provide you with the opportunity to help our clients understand where they might have vulnerabilities and develop solutions to manage the risks involved. We prevent, respond to and remediate a wide range of business threats, risks and complex issues. Our forensic specialists provide solutions and support for clients dealing with regulatory and crisis situations. As part of the team, you’ll help provide support to our clients who wish to investigate potential financial crime, support clients responding to regulatory enquiries, deal with cybersecurity breaches and provide expert advice and opinions in legal proceedings. You’ll also help clients review and remediate systems and controls to prevent further issues.

What To Consider Before Applying
- This role doesn’t support completion of the Canadian CPA designation.
As a Forensics Manager, you’ll work as part of a team of problem solvers, helping to solve complex business issues from strategy to execution. Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Assisting with the design and development of analysis to address a wide variety of allegations for investigation;
- Regular communication of project status to internal and external stakeholders, including serving as a point of contact with clients and overseeing junior team members;
- Preparing high quality investigative reports for partner review and subsequent delivery to clients detailing procedures undertaken, results, limitations and recommended actions;
- Performing client pre-acceptance procedures including conflict checks, client investigation checks and drafting engagement letters;
- Utilizing your forensic accounting knowledge to execute on client engagements, including analyzing financial data, conducting interviews of persons of interest, reviewing email and other electronic records, quantifying losses and drafting deliverables;
- Coaching junior staff members and assisting them in developing their forensic accounting knowledge.
- Assisting with business development efforts to grow the GTA Forensic Services practice. This includes speaking engagements and sourcing new opportunities by leveraging relationships and contacts;
- Preparing working paper files with documentation of procedures performed and evidence obtained;
- Demonstrated managerial experience including solving client problems, facilitating decision making, preparing documentation, managing client expectations and coaching a team;
- The ability and willingness to travel within Canada and internationally up to 10%, if required;
- Successful candidates will have a strong financial background, strong verbal and written communication skills, an investigative mindset, strong technical and project management skills, an ability to evaluate business situations;
- CFE or CFF designations are assets;
- Fluent in French and English would be an asset;
- Strong experience working in a professional services firm;
- A demonstrated commitment to valuing differences, developing and coaching diverse teams, and ensuring diverse perspectives are heard.
- CA/CPA or equivalent accounting designation required;
- Proven ability to execute on forensic accounting mandates;
