Job Offer: Summer Internship in Private Equity Group (May 29th - July 17th, 2023)

We are excited to offer summer internship positions within our esteemed private equity group, Movement. Founded by step-brothers Gregory Gruschka and Javier Ballve, Movement is funded by the European Private Equity office, Springwater Capital (SWC). Movement was set up to further diversify the SWC portfolio outside of Europe into Canada. Javier, Gregory, and the SWC team bring a wealth of business and entrepreneurial experience to the table.

The current portfolio of the PE office, SWC, includes Wamos, a vertically integrated tourism platform (headquartered in Spain and Portugal), Gens Aurea, operating in the retail gold sector (headquartered in Italy), Kompas, a European tour operator focused on the Adriatic region (headquartered in Slovenia), Daorje, operating in the engineering sector (headquartered in Spain), SGEL, specialized in logistics (headquartered in Spain), NUBA, a luxury travel agency (headquartered in Spain), and Fintyre in the tire distribution sector (headquartered in Italy). In addition, SWC has experience in supporting businesses we invest in through both organic and external growth. Around 65% of the transactions executed in the last five years were add-ons to existing portfolio companies.

Backed by SWC, we are looking to deploy c. $50m of equity in Canada. We are specifically looking for companies with an EV of CAD 25-50 million in Eastern Canada. As an intern, you will have the opportunity to work alongside our experienced partners and gain valuable insights into the world of finance and private equity.

Responsibilities

The main responsibility of the interns will be to assist our partners in deal sourcing. This will include tasks such as:

·Proprietary deal sourcing

·Financial LBO modeling

·Manage deal database

·Draft indicative offers

·Attend meetings with sellers, banks, and financial advisors

·Financial analysis

·Market research

·Due diligence

We are looking for interns who possess strong financial acumen and are eager to learn and grow within the industry.

Qualifications

This internship is open to both undergraduate and graduate students pursuing a degree in finance, economics, or a related field. We will also consider applicants from other backgrounds.

·Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Location and Work Arrangements

The internship will be entirely remote, allowing for flexibility and the opportunity to work from any location.

Duration and Working Hours

This is a full-time internship requiring a commitment of 40 hours per week during the internship period (May 29th - July 17th, 2023).
