Summary:


We are looking for a highly motivated and energetic Filter Design Technician to join our team. Preference will be given to candidates who have good communication skills, are team players, are able to focus on details and have a natural drive to details and accuracy.


What You'll Do:


  • Commission and / or troubleshoot and repair Sinclair filter products at the customer sites
  • Perform testing and troubleshooting of Sinclair products.
  • Maintain the filter lab.
  • Work independently on standard filter products including troubleshooting, tuning and testing repair of standard products using a solid knowledge of RF test fundamentals.
  • Work independently and have a solid understanding of RF filter product test requirements.
  • Prepare markup drawings based on the prototype design.
  • Build and test filter prototypes under the direction of a filter engineer.
  • Perform standard test procedures with basic understanding of: test specifications, repair of standard product, troubleshooting skills and RF test fundamentals.


What You'll Bring:


  • Excellent attention to detail.
  • Must be able to lift 25 Kg from floor to normal bench height.
  • Able to travel to customer sites
  • May be required to use machine tools (lathe, milling machine, etc.)
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in electronic testing / soldering / assembly experience or equivalent.
  • Must have visual acuity at normal reading distance (corrective lenses permitted).
  • Able to do fine soldering work.
  • Must be able to work overtime and/or shift work.
  • A minimum of 1 year of supervisory experience in electronic testing / soldering / assembly.
  • Must be familiar with the use of common hand tools.
  • Must be familiar with common electronic RF measuring instruments including signal generator, network analyzer, noise meter, etc.
  • Diploma or Degree in Electronics Technology or the equivalent.
  • Has solid understanding of tuning and testing procedures, specifications and associated documentation.
  • Able to read and follow assembly drawings.
