Pipe-All Plumbing & Heating Ltd.is pleased to announce that they are actively searching to add another licensed G-1 Service Technician to join our rapidly expanding service team. The technician would be responsible for troubleshooting all types and makes of gas fired equipment, repairs and preventative maintenance.Excellent customer service, communication and organization skills are imperative.
·High School diploma or a GED equivalent qualification from a certified college.
·A current driver's license.
·Valid and up-to-date Gas 1 certificate is preferred.
·Knowledge of equipment, materials and practices of the trade.
·Knowledge of applicable gas related codes, standards, and regulations.
·Knowledge of the hazards and safety precautions of the trade.
·Skilled in both verbal and written communication.
·Strong interpersonal and problem-solving skills.
·Outstanding customer service skills.
·Service and troubleshooting experience.
Desired attributes:
·Experience with BAS systems is an asset.
·Professional, courteous and customer service oriented.
·Read, interpret and maintain drawings and specifications.
·Up-to-date knowledge of all B149.20 codes.
·Interpret company policies to workers and enforce safety regulations.
·Adheres to all company policies and procedures.
·Performs all job functions in a safe and healthful manner, abiding by and in accordance with all applicable
Health and Safety company policies and government legislation/regulations.
·Valid Ontario drivers’ license with clean record.
·
The G-1 Service Technician’s duties include, but are not limited to the following:
·Technician would be responsible for troubleshooting heating boilers, domestic hot water systems ,air handling
equipment, unit heaters, sanitary & storm submersible pumps & cooling towers.
·Ability to accept assignments on short notice and work within strict deadlines is essential.
·Ability to work independently and provide professional documentation to customers.
·Repair, replace and adjust worn or broken parts on equipment.
·Diagnose and troubleshoot problems with heating, pumps, mixing valves and related systems.
·Install motors, blower wheels, bearing assemblies as required.
·Tracking materials used and hours worked.
·Upload & document job progress with photos and detailed descriptions.
·Providing excellent customer service to clients.
·Conducting all repairs and installation as per building and trade codes.
·
Working Requirements:
·Ability to work alone with minimal supervision.
·Must be able to lift and move up to 50LBS, bend, crouch, climb & use of ladders in this position.
