The Opportunity

Reporting to the Quality Manager- QAP, the ideal candidate will be a motivated and technically minded person, who works well with others, displays strong attention to detail, has excellent organizational skills and can maintain a positive, professional attitude in a fast paced and changing work environment. The role of Laboratory Technician will be part of the QA Team on-site as well as work closely with the QC Lab team in Moncton and will work to maintain a high level of accurate service to our internal customers.

What you will be doing

• Assist QA Manager with KPI management and reporting;
• Work to establish a comprehensive sample intake and results reporting program;
• Assist with creation of SOPs and Work Instructions related to testing activities, etc;
• Developing and delivering training to staff regarding chemistry and microbiology testing;
• Perform sample collection and preparation for analysis, as well as shipment of samples to external labs;
• Perform Chemistry potency testing via HPLC;
• Maintain laboratory supplies inventory;
• Other duties as may be required.
• Work safely following good laboratory practices;
• Perform Micro testing through swabbing, ATP etc. Conduct environmental monitoring through air sampling, surface swabbing, etc;
• Adherence to and enforcement of Organigrams GPP/GMP standards;
• Lead or assist with other initiatives when required;

To qualify, you have

• Adaptability paired with strong organizational skills and a sense of urgency allow the applicant to quickly change priorities, organizing to complete tasks efficiently.
• Post-secondary education in a related field or equivalent experience;
• Strong communication (written and verbal) skills;
• Previous experience with HPLC would be considered an asset;
• Proficient in Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, Excel, etc;
• Quick learner, attention to detail and self-directed skills is required;
• Ability to work individually as well as in a team environment;
• Previous leadership experience would be considered an asset;
• Previous experience in QA, a Micro or Chemistry lab;
