Job Description
We are looking for an Installation Technician to join our team in Brandon, MB.


Reporting to the District Operations Manager, this role will be responsible for the installation, service/repair, upgrading of residential and small business customer equipment. This includes satellite and fixed wireless internet, and wireless and Mesh Routers. It should be noted that the majority of work is completed outdoors in all weather conditions and includes climbing ladders and onto customers roofs to install and point Outdoor Radio Units and antennas.


Key Responsibilities Include


  • Cooperating with technical teams and sharing information across the organization
  • Maintaining accurate and timely service reports
  • Dispatching to customer homes to install and repair internet services
  • Managing all on-site installation, repair, maintenance and test tasks
  • Following all company filed procedures and protocols
  • Operating and maintenance of a company vehicle.
  • Managing inventory – including ordering, return faulty units and quarterly count submissions.


The Ideal Candidate Will Possess


  • A valid driver’s license and willingness to provide a driver’s abstract annually
  • Strong knowledge of computers and basic troubleshooting of internet connections.
  • Ability to work a flexible and rotating work schedule, including every other Saturday
  • Ability to interpret and solve technical problems. Resourceful, courteous, honest and reliable.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills. Professionalism and tact in representing the company to our customers (both internal and external)
  • Strong time management skills with attention to detail
  • Ability to follow directions and/or use GPS mapping
  • Completion of post-secondary education in a related field of technology , and / or relevant work experience
  • Demonstrated experience in installations of internet or satellite
  • Knowledge of working standards of Health and Safety, construction and CSA
