The Opportunity .
Our National Trademark Team is currently looking for a File Intake Clerk to join and support their team. In this role you will work with the Trademark Team to help handle the day-to-day workflow.
It is expected that the successful candidate will work a mix of in-office and at home.
Responsibilities .
  • Directing inquiries and incoming e-mails to relevant parties
  • Communicating with clients through email or phone
  • Managing and monitoring new TM Application in-bin
  • Sorting, prioritizing, and processing a high-volume and wide variety of work for the Toronto and Ottawa Trademark practice groups
  • Creating tasks in our electronic task management software
Qualifications, Competencies And Experience .
  • 2+ years of administrative experience in a professional services environment
  • High proficiency in MS Office and ability to learn new software and technology quickly
  • Excellent reading comprehension and attention to detail
  • Strong oral and written communication skills
  • Previous experience in legal or intellectual property will be considered an asset
  • A strong ability to prioritize a large workload
  • Highly organized and proactive
  • A great team player with excellent organizational skills
