We have a fantastic opportunity for a qualified Field Piping Engineer to join a world class organization in the Edmonton location on a contract term.
The Field Piping Engineer plays a crucial role being responsible for numerous aspects of this Energy based project including but not limited to:
- Reporting fabrication progress.
- Responsible for overseeing piping Progress and delivery of fit up, welding, torque and tensioning, NDT, blasting and painting, insulation, field activities, pipe support installation, and ensuring alignment with AFC drawings and specifications.
- Ensuring latest drawings and specifications.
- Responsible for coordination of Request for Information RFI's / Site Technical Queries STQ's
- Supports management off site.
- Mark up of drawings and ensuring As-builts drawings generated by fabricator are clearly communicated to all necessary parties.
- Reviewing JSA's and Method Statement and Work Execution Plans.
- Working closely with QA Lead and Yard Material Manager to ensure the availability of material for planned scope.
- Reporting on any slippage or potential concerns to the Yard Fabrication Lead.
- Reviewing physical progress with overall AP Schedule requirements.
To be successful:
- Proven ability to work under pressure with a multitude of projects.
- Along with strong technical skills, ability to demonstrate solid communication and interpersonal skills.
- Having at least 5 years of experience in piping design, piping systems, and engineering, preferably in Energy, Oil & Gas, Petrochemical, or a related industry.
- High workplace safety process values within the industry.
- Preferred is a bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering or a related field and/or related qualification.
