Experience in managing and coordinating piping-related activities, including vendor management and procurement processes.

Collaborate with project management teams to develop project plans, budgets, and schedules for piping-related activities.

Conduct feasibility studies and analyze project requirements to determine the most suitable and cost-effective piping solutions for the factory.

5-10 years of relevant experience in designing and overseeing industrial piping systems, preferably within large-scale construction projects.

In-depth knowledge of piping design codes, standards, and practices, including ASME B31.3, API, and ASTM.

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to optimize piping designs for efficiency and cost-effectiveness.

Reviewing and maintaining project schedules, and tracking engineering tasks and deliverables in conjunction with project management

Adhering to Vista Quality Management System (QMS)

Actively stewarding change management related to their scopes of work

Self-motivated and efficient with time management

Reviewing vendor or subcontractor quotations, drawings and specifications for technical adequacy and conformance with project requirements

Ensuring design is in accordance with applicable codes and requirements, including Vista and client specifications and standards

Proficient computer skills; experience with estimating software.

The ideal candidate would have a Pipe trades background with Post secondary education in Mechanical Engineering or Technology.

1 – 3 years working experience in estimating, or equivalent position

Direct experience with estimating process plants, Petro-chemical, or other refinery EPC type projects is considered an asset.

Knowledge of typical costs associated with piping activities.

Strong leadership skills, with the ability to manage teams and motivate individuals to achieve project goals.

At least 10 years of experience in piping system design, fabrication, and installation in the oil and gas industry.

Strong knowledge of industry standards, including ASME, ASTM, API, and ANSI.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with teams and stakeholders.

Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify and resolve complex piping issues.

Develop and implement piping fabrication and installation procedures, ensuring that they are in line with project specifications and industry standards.

Intermediate computer and software skills to include the use of word processing, e-mail, spreadsheets, and electronic presentation programs

Monitor and audit the performance of DFL personnel in assuring that work is completed

Plans, schedules, and coordinates the work with DFL to insure conformance to construction

Working closely with QA Lead and Yard Material Manager to ensure the availability of material for planned scope.

Preferred is a bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering or a related field and/or related qualification.

Ensuring latest drawings and specifications.

Coordinate the response and management of Request for Information (RFI’s) / Site Technical Queries (STQ’s) generated by the fabricator.

Collaborate closely with the Clients Yard Material Manager to ensure all materials are readily available for planned work activities.

Facilitate proper marking up of drawings and manage As-built drawings communication to all necessary parties.

Coordinate with the QA Lead and Yard Material Manager to guarantee timely material availability.

Minimum 5 years of experience in piping design and engineering, preferably in oil and gas, petrochemical, or related industries.

Demonstrated knowledge of piping systems, specifications, and regulations.

Any equivalent combination of education and experience will be considered for candidates that have the ability to perform the objectives above.

Familiar with typical industry piping documentation and requirements, such as LDT’s, Line Classes, QA requirements.

Focus Area: Technically lead brownfield engineering only upgrade projects by organizing engineering designs and upgrade strategies

Registered P.Eng in a Canadian Province (Please submit License # & Province with application)

Develop EWRs by preparing detailed design packages including scope of work, assembly/erection procedures, welding procedures, NDT requirements, material list and sketches/drawings.

Minimum 15 years' experience in the refinery and/or NGLF industry.

At least 10 years of field experience working on major turnaround and field troubleshooting.

Thorough knowledge of industry codes and standards such as ASME, API, NACE, ASTM, ISO.

Perform field troubleshooting on a daily basis or as requested.

Participate on major T&Is and emergency plant shutdowns.

Report to engineering or project management with timely updates on project performance for the assigned scopes or tasks.

Perform engineering work following SNC-Lavalin/Candu Energy Quality Assurance programs, and applicable codes, standards, and regulation requirements.

General knowledge of CANDU nuclear mechanical and piping systems or equipment.

Experience in stress analysis of pressure boundary components, for deadweight, thermal, and seismic conditions is required.

Design engineering experience in nuclear piping systems is preferable.

Experience in FEA using ANSYS Mechanical APDL is required. Experience in ANSYS Workbench is an asset.

Demonstrated capability to manage a knowledge-based work unit.

Prior experience that supports ASME Section III Appendix XXIII Qualification for Design Report is considered an asset.
