Piping Engineer

Introduction
Our client, a leading multi-billion dollar company, is embarking on an ambitious venture to construct a state-of-the-art giga factory. This facility will revolutionize our industry and redefine the way products are manufactured. Brunel is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Piping Engineer to join our client’s dynamic team.
As a Piping Engineer, you will play a crucial role in overseeing the design and construction of industrial piping systems within our giga factory construction project. You will be responsible for ensuring the efficient and effective implementation of these systems to support the overall infrastructure of the factory. We are specifically seeking candidates with 5-10 years of experience in this field to bring their expertise and technical knowledge to the project.
Responsibilities
- Ensure compliance with environmental and safety regulations in the design and construction of piping systems.
- Oversee the construction and installation of piping systems, ensuring adherence to industry standards, safety regulations, and project timelines.
- Conduct feasibility studies and analyze project requirements to determine the most suitable and cost-effective piping solutions for the factory.
- Perform calculations and simulations to assess the performance and efficiency of piping systems, identifying opportunities for optimization.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including mechanical, electrical, civil, and structural engineers, to design and develop industrial piping systems that align with project specifications and requirements.
- Coordinate with vendors, suppliers, and contractors to source materials, equipment, and services for the piping systems, ensuring quality and timely delivery.
- Review and approve technical drawings, layouts, and documentation related to piping design and construction.
- Conduct site visits and inspections to monitor the progress and quality of piping installations, resolving any issues that may arise during the construction phase.
- Collaborate with project management teams to develop project plans, budgets, and schedules for piping-related activities.
- Provide technical support and guidance to other engineering disciplines and construction teams regarding piping systems and integration.
Requirements
- Knowledge of industry best practices and emerging trends in mechanical, electrical, and piping engineering.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to optimize piping designs for efficiency and cost-effectiveness.
- Familiarity with mechanical and electrical systems integration within industrial piping networks.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
- Flexibility to adapt to changing project requirements and priorities.
- In-depth knowledge of piping design codes, standards, and practices, including ASME B31.3, API, and ASTM.
- Experience in managing and coordinating piping-related activities, including vendor management and procurement processes.
- 5-10 years of relevant experience in designing and overseeing industrial piping systems, preferably within large-scale construction projects.
- Proficiency in computer-aided design (CAD) software for piping design and simulation (e.g., AutoCAD, Caesar II, or equivalent).
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Piping Engineering, or a related field.
