Bartender
The hotel is currently recruiting for a Part-time Summer by the Pool Bartender. This position is responsible for preparing and serving drinks to our guests and customers. They are able to mix and match ingredients in order to create classic and innovative drinks in accordance with customers’ needs and expectations. The purpose of this position is to interact with the hotel guests and ensure they have a great experience! This is a Seasonal position where we are looking for dynamic individuals to help create the Cabana feel of our Outdoor Pool with the best views of Lake Ontario and the CN Tower. This position is seasonal opening on June 1st and running to the middle of September (pending warm weather).

Key Responsibilities
Reporting to the Food and Beverage Manager, you will:

• Prepares inventory or purchase requisitions as needed to replenish supplies;
• Complies with all food and beverage regulations;
• Performs other duties as and when assigned.
• Provides recommendations and suggestions to guests;
• Arranges bar area to make attractive displays;
• Possesses the ability to sell or influence others by up-selling and suggestive selling;
• Checks identification of the guests when in doubt, to make sure they meet age requirements for purchase of alcohol and tobacco products;
• Interacts with customers in a friendly and helpful manner, takes orders, and serves drinks and snacks;
• Collects payment for drinks served and balances all receipts;
• Maintains liquor inventory and consumption;
• Assesses customer's needs and preferences and makes recommendations;
• Assists in the planning and presentation of the bar menu;

What We Are Looking For...

• Smart Serve Certification;
• Must be authorized to work in Canada.
• Exceptional customer service skills!
• Food Handling Certification is an asset;
• Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, holidays, and weekends;
