Maintenance Mechanic Jobs

One of our food processing clients in Toronto, ON is looking for Maintenance Mechanic for their service.

Shift : Night

Responsibilities

• All other duties as assigned by the Supervisor.
• Transfer equipment to the applicable site for maintenance to avoid contamination or safety hazards.
• Repair equipment replacing parts or rebuilt them. (Rebuild parts using shop machinery is an asset).
• Perform assigned PMs and planned work on equipment in a safe and timely manner.
• Repair and complete preventative maintenance on high-speed processing and packaging equipment, conveyors, and printing presses.
• Disassemble and reassemble equipment for repair or transportation.
• Ensure shop and work area are kept in clean condition to meet SQF and GMP standards.

Required Qualifications

• Must be able to understand the work order requirements;
• Must be able to stand, walk, crouch, stretch, and lift up to 50 lbs.;
• Must be a team player who is flexible and able to communicate well with other team members.
• Must be a qualified maintenance mechanic with proven capability to troubleshoot and repair paper printing and packaging machinery.
• Must demonstrate capability to effectively use shop equipment for fabrications (i.e. welder, lathe, mill, drill press )
• Must be able to keep up to fast paced activities;
