Cc - Maintenance Mechanic

Custom Castings is looking for a motivated individual who will work independently and with other plant personnel to perform preventative, predictive and routine maintenance tasks. They will troubleshoot issues, repair failures of production and facilities equipment, and ensure maximum equipment efficiency and effectiveness. All tasks will be performed while supporting the policies, goals and objectives of the company.

Responsibilities/Duties:

• Repair or replace defective machinery parts.
• Respond promptly and appropriately to plant emergency and breakdown situations.
• Perform work order repairs, inspections and adjustments.
• Perform routine maintenance work on machinery.
• Clearly communicate with peers and other departments to ensure that priority jobs are completed on time.
• Detect and troubleshoot irregularities and malfunctions of equipment.
• Maintain facilities.
• Maintenance and fabrication welding
• Troubleshoot and repair CNC machinery.

Requirements:

• Millwright ticket an asset.
• Understanding of hydraulics and pneumatics, and all of the components involved in these processes such as; valves, cylinders, pumps and compressors an asset.
• Must be able to work Nights and Weekends if needed.
